I would've thought anyone who'd played anything above rural footy would understand exactly why there is no way the EFC or it's 40+ players would approach each other to intentionally break the WADA code and dope.
Nobody intentionally does it. It's always someone else's fault/ they were misled etc. Happens all the time.

Richard Ings tweeted something about TB4 being very hard to detect. Stated he had a lab contact tell him TB4 occurs naturally in most plasma samples. Detecting administered TB4 is very difficult.
Dank would be well aware of this and won't be changing his stance anytime soon. Still the Age interview when he siad he used TB4 and then backtracked continues to be a sticking point for me.
But samples were sent overseas and nothing was found. They are in the clear.

Exactly the reason they used it, everyone knows you can't test for these things.

The only way is to test someone everyday for months, at various times to get a profile on them.

And even then you may get nothing.

Given they are tested 2 or 3 times a year Dank knew there was 0% chance of getting caught through testing.

Interesting Cornes used he same argument that Armstrong used, 'why would they dope when the sport is so rigidly tested', I was amazed at some of the logic Cornes was using, Hardie had him rattled, and the other thing he said what about the players being taken to a doctor in the Adelaide Hills to get some sort of flu shot before a Grand Final, was it crows or a team Cornes coached, very suspect anyway, made me think this sort of drug use is more widespread than the fans realise, but the other point to make is I bet Cornes is invested in this Dank bloke somehow, financially obviously and same with Newman, they have money with him i bet.

He would've been talking about Glenelg circa '85 or '86.

Guys like Newman, Cornes, Robinson and others are fueled by an insecurity complex about people more qualified than they are. They have a strong sense that rules are for lesser mortals and parking tickets and speed limits are pointless. They feel that they are living in a nanny state tailored for morons. They tend to think the science about drinking, smoking or choofing too much is bunkum. They back their own life experience and gut feeling over any expert.

For these guys this case is the perfect Venn diagram of anti-intellectualism, anti-head office, anti-nanny state and pro-individualism. A bloke should be allowed to be a bloke and everyone should eff off and not care about what he is doing.
