Why does he refer to himself as D Moore? Maynard called him that the other day?

Is he no longer going by Darcy?

If you can, try to catch the Foxtel interview of last night, where Gary Lyon interviewed Darcy Moore.

Probably didn’t tell us much more than we already know about our very impressive captain, but two things stood out for me:
  • Lyon looked nervous, as though he wasn’t all that comfortable with interviewing Darcy. Perhaps a bit overawed by him? And Lyon is no slouch.
  • Darcy came up with a memorable way to describe Collingwood, and said it several times: we are a ‘club of consequence’. I like it, although Mr Park didn’t fully understand what he meant. I said think about it…
Thanks VP:
i) fyi - Lyon IS a slouch. (Maybe he got nervous as the impact of Darcy's glorious words sank into his media infested head?)

ii) be kind to Mr Park. Our significant others need our support at this time (I've just explained the finals system to Mrs No More BB - she too is thinking about it)

Have a nice weekend 👍

Vicky Park, thoughts? I know you’re the hair stylist of the forum 😂

Ha ha! I agree! He needs some toner, or something to tone it down a bit. The colour is a bit brassy for the finals, a bit cheap. It doesn’t scream ‘I’m serious’, and it should.

He was very good and got better as the game went on.

He’s a ripper and went a long way to helping us to the win.

Absolutely critical to us getting over the line, during the fourth quarter onslaught, with IQ. And stood up as leader of the back six.

looked short of a gallop
I was closer to the city end and noticed him in the last quarter.
There was a passage of play where he was totally stuffed and they had us on toast.
He and MacDonald had been up in our forward line, TM ran back and DM couldn’t go with him, (he was practically walking).
It’s the passage of play where Jack chased Rivers who kicked it OOTF, (about 6-7 mins on the clock)
The commentators were bemoaning the fact they centred the ball instead of getting it in long.
I have never seen him so exhausted!

The injury will not stop Moore from playing in the preliminary final, but with a week off this week he is likely to have a light week on the training track.

Phew.
