What caused this man-child to drop all the way to 26 in the draft??

You'd think that just his natural ability and size/frame/age would make him a top 10 certainty, if not top 5.

Was it a conspiracy by the Eagles or just dumb luck??

I'd like to know what others have heard.
 
here we go. another wankfest. at least this sort of thread this time isnt made by our fans on the AFL board :)

Character issues - got kicked off a school camp (expelled/suspended maybe?) for pulling chicks in a supervised environment.

Health issues - Got king hit in northbridge, word that a big hit to his head could effectively end his career.

Also we hid him from the draft board and cheated and ducked and tanked. And ducked.
 
Thread should definitely be on the main board...

On topic though, massive amounts of man love for JD and love that by slipping it in on school camp and slipping on the pavement outside a club, he managed to slip to the team he supported and stay in WA.

Also, on my never ending search for merchandise, I noticed he signs his nickname as 'King' (see jumper on eBay, middle sig second from the bottom):

His form for WP and in the 18s Champs leading into the draft was pretty poor , couldn't get a kick for WP in the forward line ! .................................... However since joining the AFL system he grew an xtra leg and has shown greater enthuisiam then what he showed at WP .

ended up in intensive care from memory. Then coupled with poor form and he dropped way down

Have you been living in the cupboard or something, for gods sake man, just GTFO while you still have your sanity...
 
  • wasn't tall enough for key position role
  • was too tall for medium forward role
  • got suspended/kicked off school camp for sneaking on a hip flask
  • U18/West Perth form wasn't too great (even though he dominated U16)
  • pulled too many women :confused:
  • first round draft picks are traditionally midfielders anyway....
