Why would they be rebuilding next year? Finished 3rd on the ladder this year. We bet both sides that are now in the grand final. Surely you would try and top up on a few players and have another crack at the flag while your still up and amongst it?

1000 a game, that is ridiculous. Dont think oz will leave nyora and if he did he would go to another league. Darnum offering this kind of money is bad for the league, means other clubs have to pay more to stay competitive and keep there own players. Think they are the only club who are trying to recruit big name players from within the league.

I think what Saint leo is trying to say is that Darnum are f@#kwits and should rack off and recruits their own players. Stop trying to poach players from other teams with ridiculous amounts of money. Darnums name is shit around the league for this reason and its bad for the competition.

So.. we hang it on clubs who recruit from the casey league, we bag those who recruit from other gippy leagues and we cant recruit from inside our own league. Yet we all agree each club needs recruits to survive and to succeed. Can someone tell me where it's ok to recruit from?
I dont think its so much where they come from, its more the manner and way it is done.

If they wanna do that go to another comp and do it. Doing it inside your own comp just causes bad blood between players and the clubs involved.
Look at Cora Lynn and Longwarry. Longwarry players knew in the prelim against Catani last year Donno was going to CL for massive coin this year. How do you think relations between Longwarry players( and club in general) are like with Donno and CL now. They are scum!!
Hopefully Osler tells them were to stick it!

The question that really needs to be asked is why on earth are Nilma Darnum offering Nathan Osler $1000 a game? I got nothing against the guy and he is a good player in this league; but for that kind of money I would be looking for a recently retired/delisted AFL player, a quality VFL senior player or a superstar from the MPNFL.
Think that if you wish, but it was definately offered. He got the phone call last night, and they said, you can get $1,000 a game to come down and have a kick for us.

No one has ever said to not recruit players from CC, people say Coral Lynn havin 12-14 is maybe a bit to much but they are finally in a GF so good on them.
Osler is a gun but 1000 is too much, if he was the difference between winning a GF or not then maybe but Darnum are still a few players off being a contender.
Maybe this is why all the talented young guys leave darnum? If i was a good young player, playing for nothing i would be pissed off with guys getting this kind of cash who are only there for the cash.
