no one player doesnt make a team but take 100 goals out of any team and they will struggle. the recruits they have got wont make that 100 up between them. as for south burnie they are there abouts every year just need to put it all together. As for there recruits u better ask some one from that club. have heard they have picked up a few but wether there rumors who knows? and for the reserves the comp is poor and some clubs need to improve so the same teams ie somerset and south burnie get some compitition
mate your a goose, so just coz baldys gone does that mean no one else will kick most of the goals there's plenty of young blokes recruits that can play aswell as baldy, its not taking a hundred goals out, and hes an awesome player but no one is half a side, bloody think about wat your writing mate!!!!

well we will wait and see then. the season will bring many answers but if they dont go your way again i guess the excusses will start again. just like last year. i will have to eat my words if im wrong. but i wont make excusses

What makes you think Ridgely will struggle??
Not many at training from a few reports i have heard the max is 20? Lost a lot of key players and have a fair few aging players as well. Aaron Butler is in doubt to play now, Mouse is a maybe as always, no Braslins, plenty of fringe players who have moved on. Will be strong but nothing on the last two years

Wishful thinking old mate but I got some bad news for you. Ridgley have lost a few I will grant you that but they have recruited more than they have lost. Aaron Butler might miss a few but will be back and firing before finals and Mouse has even been training which he’s never done before. Your right about the low numbers at training but the ones that have been there are the key senior players which is a positive.

This coming from a bloke who's teams FF line consists of Guy Grey, Grant Williams and Sean Britcliff haha give me a break. South will destroy Somerset this year.
who said that was somersets forward line i just asked moocher what was his opinion of that forward line . so please get the facts right. and south will destroy somerset please tell you must be in the know how is this going to happen . im sure all of us on this site would like to know

at the moment i think ridgley are the yard stick of the competition i am looking forward to round 1 to see if the rooboys have learned anything from last year. also i think the darwin will be a very even competition this year with probably 6 or 7 sides to be in finals contention going into round 14 i dont believe sides in the top 5 or 6 will destroy each other as some people who subscribe to this forum think but i do think the quality of players in the darwin has improved as a result of the statewide league coming to the fore. i like most on this forum cant wait for the season to start go roos

They normally do but last year was different as this year will be, South will be way better under Towna and Rat, the roos need to match their mid field to be competitive as their forwards and backs are pretty similar I reckon

Dont worry the Saints will be up there again, does not matter who they have on the paddock as Couls and Barnsy are very good with their structures, hence the last two Premierships and remember, they did turn over 8 from their Premiership two years ago and Azza started late last year as well after hurting his wrist in the Lightning Premiership

The Roos may not kick as many goa ls this year but as with any forward individually or the whole group a lot depends on delivery and how many actual forward line 50 entries they get. This should not be down that much at Somerset this year, so conversion will be important but from watching most of their games last year they mus t be better defensively, Grey, Hampton, Bessell, Cody French, even Barry maybe are all capable of kicking goals plus Bricka but will it be enough agains better opposition, only time will tell

Mate I'm fairly sure Ridgley were gettin similar numbers on the track this time last year. Have picked up a few and the only real loss is Shaun Braslin I beleive. John only played 1 or 2 games last year so you cant count him as an out and both mouse and Aaron will play. Ridgely will still be the team to beat make no mistakes about that

well said buddy i agree the reserves need a huge improvement from the other clubs south and somerset will be strong again but do need some competition and maybe this year you boys at south could show some heart and let the rooboys win one

so which of your recruits is going to help with delivery. robinson has gone so who will replace him? the games i saw him play he was your playmaker so another hole the roos need to plug. hence the fact i said u will come back to the pack in earlier posts. u will still play finals but i don't think u will improve on last year where other sides will

dobson used to be a good onballer who is able to kick a few goals aswell, robbo could possibly be back shortly soon as he is finding wofk hard to come by

excuses?? we weren't good enough, simple as that, the only excuse here mate is you, a sorry excuse for a good addition to this forum!

ha ha ha and u call yourself a good addition? well i guess you are cause it gives me a reason to bag u out "messiah of bigfooty". then again if numbats like u didnt write so much crap on here i wouldnt have a reason to write anything at all

dobson will be handy but if robinson dont come back it will be a big lose. hope for the comps sake he does.
Dont expect Robbo back too soon boys. I still think that we will be as good of a team as last year. I just cant see us going any worse, I really think the recruits we have will more than make up for the one's we have lost. Burgo straight swap for Robbo, Dobson in for Yates, Britclif and Willo in for Baldy, add to that Cody French and Corey Baldock and I think we are still in the mix:thumbsu:

Sound ok to me Somerset boy but my only concern , and I have mentioned on here a few times, is the inability of some of our players, both last year and some 09 recruits, to be able to run both ways and be accountable at stoppages. This will have to be addressed as it hurt us last year and we will not be able to get away with it this year because last year the ball was just kicked forward under pressure and 9 time out of 10 young Baldock would get it and create a goal . How many times did Mouse, King and Willcox stroll in to open goals in the final or take uncontested marks-plenty. I am sure Jono and Bricka and some of the more experienced players at Somerset will have realised this but they should be thereabouts , no doubt , again.Anyone could play Ridgley in the final and they will have to be on their A Grade game because like Yolla under Hunty, they have been there, done that, they have a plan and stick to it

anyway with the risk of being mocked by my fellow subscribers to this forum this is my predicted ladder at the end of the upcoming season
RIDGLEY
SOMERSET
NATONE
SOUTH BURNIE
CUPRONA
YEOMAN
QUEENSTOWN
YOLLA
in my opinion natone and cuprona to be big improvers yeoman to be better than last year and queeny and yolla to struggle .

I think you should swap Yolla and Cuprona and you'd think that would be pretty spot on

my top 5 prediction would consist of natone, somerset, south, ridgley and yolla.not in that order but will say that only 4 points or percentage will seperate 1st from 5th.

i know yolla are a proven finals side but i just dont think they have done enough in the recruiting dept as other clubs have and this will effect them i just dont think they will make finals this year i could be wrong . needles is a good player but a poor coach from what i have heard so there wil be a lot of pressure on heathy
