i think all clubs should look into wearing white shorts on away games mooch.do make it easier on boggy days and especially for your in and under players that like to get the quick hands out to the running players.have heard nige rowy and fish denny say numerous times about how much easier it is to pick team mates out running past from the bottom of packs with our white shorts on.
You will not have to worry about Fish anymore after his retirement, good player, bloke and servant to the Saints

I suppose it is a financial thing but you may be able to get a sponsor for them, at least there is a couple of us on the same wave length which is unusual for this forum !What about Wooldridge going back to the Dockers, he is due to have an ear operation so I dont know how many games he will play before and after this, at least he can see the surf from West Park
wooldridge a massive loss for the yolla boys just weeks before the season starts

While we are on the Dogs, I have heard that Blair Kaine is wanting to play there and the playing group want him, because of his pace I would say, however, some prominent commiteemen and sponsors differ on this opinion and supposedly it will come to a loggerhead shortly. If he were to play this would strengthen their already good midfield and the other thing he would brong to the table is the ability to kick goals. Is now a capable senior player but had limited opportunities at South because of their strength and depth.Hard to imagine Wazza not laughing and spraying his water bottles at the opposition, hes great for the game and very, very passionate.Anne and Wazz would do plenty around the Club I would imagine-interesting situation.I notice Freezer back bowling for Penguin in the cricket, is he back at the Doggies or not ?

I think you are wrong there moocher82 i was talking to 1 of the players over at wynyard on sat and they said that the playing group and the sponsors dont want him.
He might be a pretty good footballer with a lot of pace and goal kicking ability but the dogs have already got to many short players for on ball, wing, half forward.

If the dogs have got any brains they wouldnt give him a chance because look how long it took south to get rid of him and all the other darwin clubs dont want him so i have been told.:thumbsu::p:rolleyes:

I was talking to David Jacobson on monday and he said that it looks like the doggies are going to lose clarke radford he played on sat i think, he has now changed his mind on playing country footy so he wants a clearance to the ntfl but not sure to which club.

In the games what i have seen him play he is a very talented player but he just seems to upset his team mates to much so in 1 way i think some of the boys at heybridge wouldnt mind if they let him go.:thumbsu:

i cant believe the dogs wanted him back in the first place ( i was under the impression that browny kicked him out of the club two years ago for upsetting his fellow team mates)serves browny right i reckon if this is true, how gullible is the boy? people like that dont change.
Very interesting what weasel26 thinks of this then 2bseen
.
Change of subject things look even better for us up here after chipper talked one of his former penguin boys into joining us up here-player being dave woolley who will be an absolute asset for us this year in our quest to make the top three.
He had his first run for us in the 20/20 format last weekend and he showed enough to suggest he will be in our top half dozen players.
cmoooooooooon the mighty magpies-the dfa ones that is,not those twats on the big island :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

i hadnt read this post 2bseen until after i commented on ur other post,i had heard a similar thing about the kaine boy being a chance to don the red, blue and white in 2009,but the version i heard was that he turned up and trained at heybridge last week as he is friends with a couple players there?????
How much truth there is to this tho is the issue at hand,as i am a local of the penguin area, and it does not take long for word to get around in such a small area and i know for a fact that he has signed down at penguin.
I do have a close friend of mine who is a major sponser of the dogs and i know that he certainly has issues with the afore mentioned person and that he would likely withdraw his commitment to the football club if the said person was there-THIS IS FACT.
There was a rumour early in the year that the kaine in question was going to be up here with us and i for one am well pleased that this did not eventuate.

The guy is a complete tossa, has no loyalty what so ever, has had more clubs than ive had hot dinners, played in the Grandfinal with him at forth, never went back to the clubrooms after the game, never turned up for the premiership photo, was never seen by the club again. hope he ends up out at the leven, where some big bearded 20 stone feral has his way with him.

And is a great bloke to boot..

Yeah.. I heard the story, and was as simple as 'he changed his mind about playing country football and wants to go the the NTFL'.. was more he spat it again like he did a few years back..

it doesnt take a current player to know that u guys are struggling down there at heybridge.

I wouldnt be able to tell you if they are struggling down at heybridge because i dont play footy with anyone because of my work roster down at savage river mine with my 4 on and 4 of.
I would of had a kick with someone in the reserves if it wasnt for work because i am a bit old and slow.

I only no what gossip people tell me at work and what people talk about on this website so keep up the gossip ARROW:thumbsu:

Looks like the Maggies are on the upward spiral, there on-ball egT Baldock, Milo, Moppa when in there, Bacon and the like has been effective the last couple of years but from an opposition observers point of view they need a consistent goalkicker , thats where Bert Lavelle was so effective previously. They run the ball well and will do so again this year but where are their goals going to come from especially with big Trolley going down ?

The Tower of a man that is Paul Dann. Fairly sure Ox Gardner can kick them aswell, I reckon Natone will do alright this year but I think the team to beat will be the Hawks. Watching them in the lightning I thought they looked a much better side than last year. But dont forget about the Roo Boys either:thumbsu:

u betcha boys-the mighty maggies are on the up and up, went up and watched training last night, we had 24 by my counting so thats pretty good by our standards:thumbsu:.
The only dissapointing thing is the lack of our guns being on the track, in the few times ive made it to watch from the safety of the bar, there has always been a missing face or two

And yea Young Gardnier can kick a goal or two or even three or so, as for scooter dann, well hes a bit overated but his height will definately be handy for us this season which will give us another option up forward thats for sure.
Its funny isnt it, i couldnt stand to talk to the bloke before but now hes in the black and white he dont seem half bad at all lol:D

2009 year of the magpies-u just never know..........

i heard that moppas bro in law might be having a kick at nat one. if he does the boy can seriously play. u don't win a william leitchplaying centre half forward for clarance unless u can play. will be the best player in the comp if he does have a kick?

The hawks had a good side last year and should have went all the way, but because of their culture they crumbled again like the last 3 years, i thought their culture might be changed but the looks of the lightning premiership nothing has, they didnt clean out all the mouths, and i heard on the grape line they cant field a u17's side, i wonder why?

Paul Dann is a tossa. He is still living in the shawdow of his brother. Not even close to being the player he was. He should give up trying. Might go ok in the two's if he has to play on a 5ft school boy.

I heard a whisper some of the guns may not be playing due to the economic downturn and losing their job, anyone no for sure

The geezer would be Jugghead Jones.
Matty Jones, was at South Launceston last couple of years I think
I can remember Jugghead playin for South Launie in 07' Can play but was a little past it then IMO, Would definantly be an awsome darwin player though thats for sure, any1 know how old he is?? Would have to be close to 40 wouldnt he?

Yep played some good footy at Clarence and up at the Valley of Love nicknamed New Norfolk, would cut it up in the DFA as there are plenty of 4o plus blokes still holding their own with guile and experience and strict training regimes !
