What's happening to the fabric of this club?
A legendary Admin Officer has left us and Essendon FC will never be the same again.

Ha ha. You fail at sarcasm.

What did he do as an admin officer that made him a legend. He might be a premiership player but if he is not doing his job well enough, then it does not matter.

Unless of course he was butting heads with Knights and Robson and causin friction.

Ha ha. You fail at recognising sarcasm.

To be honest until this thread I didn't even know he worked at Essendon.

Pfft.. and you call yourself a supporter.

For shame.

Always remembered for that running goal after half time in the 93 GF that finished Carlton's hope of coming back:thumbsu:

Shame he is such a knob.:(

Greg Denham from The Australian.
With all due respects to Greg Denham - he knows nothing about what goes on at Essendon. In fact, my distinct impression listening to him on SEN with KB is that he doesn't really have inside knowledge on any of the AFL clubs.
When was the last time he scooped the journalistic field with a news story ?
I take notice of Mike (HS) Caro(AGE) Emma(AGE) and Jake(AGE).
Even Robbo(HS) goes over the top too often for my liking.
How accurate is this Calthorpe story ? And what about the one that says that
Adrian Dodoro is heading off to the GWS to assist Sheeds ?

Greg Denham is Pat Smith's lapdog.
They follow each other around agreeing with each other. I'd take no notice of the opinion they share. It seems they've got a contact who's been booted out - they loved the club up until Sheeds left, now hate everything about it. Wouldn't be surprised if it were someone connected to Calthorpe, Barnes or Wallis.

The Australian is to the AFL what the Manningham Leader is to the NHL... completely irrelevant, obscure, and (at best) based off 2nd or 3rd hand info.

And Longy - I joined the dots on Dodoro leaving. I assume you've heard a whisper to that effect?

I think that you are half on the money.

It may also be family members of disaffected players and ex players.

Someone connected to disaffected ex-players?
Like exactly what I said?

The family members of disaffected and ex players are the most dangerous - As they only see things through a narrow prism - which is their son, brother, etc.

lol. Nah. Just those tiny-short legs of his.

I remember always thinking that he tried to do too much, beyond his abilities... Taking guys on and getting caught. Those short legs pumping at a million miles an hour - but still getting run down... trying to fend-off an opposition player - and getting dumped.

Had never heard the story about Barry Young's missus. That seals it. Dirty dog. See ya.
