No Mumford will still be on Geelongs list in 2009.
but they could still possibly get rid of 1 rookie i was just reading....

Yeah, Davenport is very stiff. I would have preferred him to Byrnes. It seems a bit of a curse to win Geelong's 2nd's B+F. Carrazzo, Koulouritous, Callan and Davenport have all got moved on the year they won it.
Mumford is also a big chance to quit Geelong. The Cats have offered him another year on the rookie list as the nominated rookie after round 11 (which is a new rule next year), but Mumford wants a senior spot and will leave if offered one by another club. I think big Mumford is flirting with danger if he leaves, especially with this being the last uncomprimised draft.

davenport would clearly of made some decisions in the last 2 years he was wishin he didnt. one of the best VFL midfielders, but he tried to break into the most impossible midfield in the AFL! haha he shoulda gone to sydney 2 years ago, when he was still young and they wanted him big time

See Ben Ross has got back in with the Kangas too. Been an emerg all year. With Mumford still in too that's not a bad result for our little league

Na don't really know just from when I saw him play in the vfl a few times it looked like his foot skills weren't the best. Just don't think you can survive as a small outside midfielder at AFL level without elite foot skills.
Ben Ross -> Plays for the Roos. Anyone plays there. One thing for sure, will get plenty of opportunity if he is good enough.
Mumford -> Show me a ruckman not worth his weight. Playing in a pretty good side so going ok.
Davenport -> Pretty hard forcing your way into a side that had that midfield at the cats. Port will give him every opportunity. Williams will stop at nothing to keep his job. This includes making blokes like Jason the next wave of mids.
Kicked a goal and played ok according to the radio.
