This press conference wasn't necessary. A whole lot of PR driven rubbish.

Evans still thinks he's in a tenable position despite "all these things happening under my watch that I must apologize to everyone for".

6. Administrative processes

A number of normal business processes were either not complied with, or too easily circumvented during this period.
• EFC contractors placed orders on suppliers outside normal procurement and authorization processes with EFC listed as the purchaser. This included acquisition of exotic compounds that may or may not have been intended for use by the Club.

Ok then.

I can't help but feel that even if we were to be cleared of all this, people will still complain and denigrate us and won't be happy until
we have Evans and Hird's heads on a pike outside AFL headquarters.

As he said, he will stand for re-election to the Essendon board in November. Now if the membership votes him back in, he'll most likely continue as club chairman. If he doesn't then it'll be someone else in charge.

As a member, I am entitled to a vote. Will I vote for Evans and his team again? I have no idea at this point.

I wasn't aware he hired them actually. I guess you need to have some concepts of chains of command to comprehend the issue

Ziggy disagrees with you, way to much delegation and abrogation of responsibility at Essendon.

5) The CEO must be accountable for everything that happens within his organization.
Coaches cannot bypass him, and boards must work through him. If commercial priorities consume his time and attention, steps must be taken to ensure proper oversight of football operations.

Um, is David Evans the CEO is he?..

Evans and Hirds heads are one thing but the players who took the illegal substances should be sanctioned with bans (min 6mths) and the club should lose all premiership points for 2013.
Only this will appease the masses.
