It's bad enough they cheat . . . but they sponge off tax payers to do it?

From a PR/spin standpoint Evans came across as a very good media performer.

But major questions still remain and there is still a huge stench around Windy Hill and what went on there.

Interesting to note that he didn't guarantee that anyone's position is safe (Hird included).

When the club is trying to say they've done nothing wrong but are injecting players with a substance that has not yet been approved for therapuetic use, then they are being blasé, because quite simply they didn't care for all of last year and are only doing so now because of the ASADA investigation and they all look like losing their jobs.

Essendon FC failed in its duty of care to its players and personally when the players get suspended I'm going to enjoy watching the civil lawsuit against Essendon, Hird, Dank & co for millions in loss of income and loss of future income which will bankrupt the lot of them.

The very fact that there is so far no outrage whatsoever from Essendon fans even after the release of this shambolic "Independent investigation" suggest that they probably wouldn't mind a coverup. I have quickly read this report and it looks like what essendon is claiming (more like suggesting I know) is this:

Dank was not reporting to anyone, no one could overrule Danks (+ the weapon), 2-3 people responsible for every decision, no sole decision maker in whole club apart from Dank, Dank hid all info, Dank convinced us it was all within WADA rules, Dank pushed us to release funds for offsite injections, Dank pushed Coach Hirdy to inject himself etc etc.

I hope some in media see through this.

Just checked the newspapers this morning. Almost everyone is slamming them. I think Hird & Robson did themselves no favor by coming late to the press conference yesterday. Quite a few people questioning that. Not the smartest tools in the shed. Flame the fire

Oh, and our well esteemed doctor of over 20 years wrote us a letter about his concerns...but we can't find that letter either and he never spoke to Hird about his concerns, even though he's known him since he's a kid. Oh and we can't find the person responsible for overlooking the players in this mess as we don't know who it is. Yeah right on, nothing here stupid public, move on. The AFL will do the rest of the sweeping up.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he was initially part of the panel when this story broke and I couldn't understand why he'd not been pulled from the show, seeing as he was subjected to questions he couldn't answer.

Now he can answer them, but chose to play dumb by saying he hasn't read the report, nor seen the press conference.

Then when prompted by Robbo about the findings he says something like "ahh, yeah, that's sounds about right".

At a time when everyone is wanting answers he decides(or the club advises) to act like he's been out of town and doesn't know that this is serious shit.

You'd hope that he was playing this out as he saw fit and not with any guidance from the EFC.

All you guys care about is finding a legal loophole, the well being of your playing group is insignificant and I think this is quite indicative of how you ended up in this mess in the first place. Win at all costs regardless of the fallout, you may get away with this however I think the heavies from WADA flying in last week is a sign that you wont. Either way EFC is tarnished as cheats along with your coaching staff and will be for a long time.

I havent heard any report of AD backing the safety and not everyone agrees
