Until injury he seemed to have the role of taking the opposition's best small forward. Now back in the magoos and could struggle to make it back. With the emergence of Mackie as a back man, as well as the entrenched core of Scarlett, Milburn, Enright, Egan, Wojcinski and Harley, (plus rooke who can play back), whose spot will he take?

And does Woj get first crack at a player such as Didak or do we free him up for his run and go with someone else for a shutdown role?

I think he could be back this week with Rooke injured, he was in the best in the VFL and can play as a tagger if needed

Re: No. 28 David Johnson

very happy to have david johnson this season and look forward to reporting on him throughout the year.

he really struggled last year especially with injury, played 1 senior game which was a great effort and played real well, got in the best players. When he played vfl he was a standout pretty much in the back half, his courage is astonishing and his reading of the play is just as good.

Make or break year this year but all in all i think he will be gone at seasons end. needs to have a good pre season and good start in the vfl and hopefully i spot will come up but his time is running out.

Great effort thus far considering he was pick 70 something
