Popyrin has a good mindset. I could tell as he was walking in the hallway. Looked confident and determined. Ready to give a challenge.

Agreed but the difference is that this doesn’t look like the same Novak. The warning signs were in the De Minaur match against him a few weeks ago. Now it is all about whether he can regather the playing level from last year throughout this tournament.

The question is whether he can recover from it.

Thiem had a wrist injury years ago and has not been the same since. It is hard to tell how it will go and at Novak’s age, it would be even more difficult to say.
