Brisbane Get Beams - Give Pick 4 to Collingwood and Leuenberger to Essendon
Essendon Get Leuenberger - Give Pick 10 to Collingwood
Collingwood Get Picks 4+10 - Give Beams

Everyone is happy

How the heck did you weave EFC into this? This is the equal of the pick 4 AND Aish option.

You're pisstaking aren't you and I've fallen for it.

Which means hes gone.

What are they going to do, request home games at the Gabba for 2015? Fly him up every week and let him skip training/team sessions?

Where not that desperate

Wait, what? Three players in two years?

Andrew Schauble - traded 1999 (Sydney: 88 games 1x bf)
Paul Williams - traded 2000 (Sydney: 117 games 2x bf, all australian, premiership)
Saverio Rocca - delisted 2000 (North Melb: 101 games, 234 goals, 3x leading goal kicker)
Mal Michael - traded 2000 (Brisbane: 140 games, 3x premierships)

A lot of people on Bigfooty with short memories.

2012- Finished 4th & Traded Dawes & Ceglar with Tarrant retiring in his first season....Pass mark, but living off Mick's fumes none the less.
2013- Finished 8th & Lost Didak, Krakouer & Jolly to forced retirement & traded Shaw & Thomas.....Problems declared over as team is now declared truly Buckley's with the demise & departure of the 'rat-pack' via retiring or being traded!
2014- Finished 11th & Likely losing Maxwell & Ball to retirement & Beams & Lumumba for starters!.....Injuries partially to blame, though wheels well & truly fell off in the second half of season.

Nufin wrong with my memory!.....It's everyone else's fault cept Nafans!

2002, 2003....2004, 2005.

Any Collingwood fan who is mocking Beams deserves a day off. Some sick people in this world and on this forum

Surely you are reading another thread or on the piss

The only mocking is coming from opposition supporters having cracks at Eddie and Bucks

Really hope Collingwood supporters realise that the last thing the lions are going to do is trade a young gun such as James Aish or an emerging star such as Redden. Should be more than happy with Pick 4 and a player like Crisp or Lester. Have to remember Beams has been injury prone as well.

Um...no...we shouldn't.

Only other player recently I can think of requesting a trade interstate, due to the illness of a family member, was Josh Caddy.

Essendon supposedly offered Hooker and a first rounder, rejected by GC.
Next year GC got a first rounder (Ablett compo pick).

Beams contracted to the end of 2015.
Will Collingwood get a better offer now or at the end of 2015, when the PSD is an option, assuming he still wants to leave?

Fairly pragmatic decision for Collingwood coming up I would have thought, if indeed Beams is determined to leave.

Scott Thompson did.

The trade delivered us the somewhat less talented Brent Moloney.

Beams is clearly an absolute gun. You would expect a monster asking price to come with any sort of a deal, regardless if Collingwood are bent over a barrel here.

Pies are going to have to take what they can now that Beams has formally requested to get out.
No, because he is contrated.

If GC or Bris want him they have to be willing to come to the table. This is not a homesick player at the end of a contract that can walk to the psd. This is an elite player in his prime, who is contracted

both teams will lose and gain big.
lions will not be trading, ,lester, crisp, mayes? whoever they are, they will need to give something big for Beams.
it wont just be pick 4, it will be one of there gun top 5 players.

It really won't. We aren't going to damage our culture for a "break even". Not for a player who doesn't want to be there and is out of contract next year.

We can wait if we have to.

Fair enough, you say lions wont have to do a break even deal. However do you think Beams is going to really want the pies bent over in this deal. See the Judd deal . Different players but basically similiar circumstances.

Probably worse off if Lions do play hard ball , GC would be readily offering as good a deal as they can

Nope, but he may have a different conception of "Bent over" than you.
