Dayne Beams: up there with Dusty?

Beams is great but he doesn't have the pace and game breaking ability of Martin.

Different types of players.
Beams performs at a high level but I can't see him dragging a side over the line ala Dusty/Danger

Beames second best midfielder to Dangerfield?
Equal with Martin?
Therefore better than Kennedy, Selwood, Sloan, Pendlebury, Bontempelli, Kelly or Mitchell

Ummm.....no.

No disrespect to Brisbane, but it's a shame he playing for a bottom side.

If he was in a top 8 Victorian side, he'd be rated equal to, if not better, than Martin.

Guy is an absolute gun. His 2012 season was an example of it. Averaged just under 31 possessions and 6 clearances a game whilst kicking 28 goals. Got the recognition then.

Equalisation at its finest. If we want an exciting competition, we need a spread of high end talent.

He's a gun player who always gets injured. I wouldn't rate him up there with the top couple of mids personally but maybe if he ever gets through a full season then perhaps he could get to that level.

Yeah because all good players should just stay in Victoria. Typical Collingwood supporter.

Needs to stop getting injured but his best is crazy good. If he plays a full season he'd start getting into discussions for top 5 midfielder but a couple of good games in a row doesn't cut it. Remember when everyone was saying Sloane is the best?

He did it against Carlton 2 weeks ago. 4 goals and 32 touches.

Still not the same imo
He's at a similar level to the 'Big 2' (when he's on the park) but goes about it very differently.
Just couldn't see him winning a clearance 70m, fending off a couple of players before slotting it from 50m; he'd be more likely to get fed the ball out to him before slotting it from the boundary from 50m.
Guess a similar, era gone by, comparison would be that Beams is your Buckley whereas Martin/Dangerfield are your Voss/Hird
