Mate don't take this the wrong way but why have you all of a sudden started over using capital letters?

I have no idea why they would rate him so highly

What do you want to know?
Plays seniors at Southport in the Queensland league. Helped them win a premership with an amazing goal before getting injured.
Watched him on several occasions. Very natural mover and loves the inside work. Prides himself on getting handball out and beating his opposition. Skills are good, reasonable pace and good size. One thing that stood out of this kid for me was his commitment. Appartently he believed one thing that was going to stop his chances of getting drafted was his athletic ability. He realised this and started to do alot of work with a personal trainer that I know and since then to the DC improved his VJ by something like 20cm (not to sure exaxtly) and also cut a fair bit off his 20m sprint. Not really relevant but showed to me that he really wants this. Should play alot of senior AFL footy and very focused kid.

I havent been able to dig up his numbers yet. Maybe someone else has. But from what I have seen probably gets that 20 odd posessions on a regular basis. Also, those posessions are so often damaging. He is either feeding it out to a player in a great position or using that natural class to do something damaging. May be talking him up alot but he is a great young bloke:thumbsu:

Glad to Hear is disposal's are Damaging.

I must admit when I 1st heard we where interested I was like WTF? but know I am getting more info, He is starting grow on me.

What the story with that Tat?

I wonder if our Mr Hine is saying thanks, you idiots for bringing up the name of the one he had hidden away as his special. How happy he will be to see him taken at 28, wasting all the time and effort he has put in. lmao

Blame the Guy who writes for Inside Footy, He was the One who brought the name up, Plus I don't think a Topic on BF would make the big of a Difference

You might be right, but any attension linked to Collingwood sells papers. The old story, where there is smoke, there is fire.
Time will tell if he goes before 29.

Hardly anyone had him in their top 30 from the mocks i have seen.

Wont be long before his name is linked to Collingwood on SEN.
Bringing his name up in lights.

Dont get me wrong the forums are here to speculate on, but i hope it doesnt come back to bite you on the bum. Cheers:(

Collingwood are North are both very interested I hear.

That the 2nd Time I heard that we are intrested in the Same player(Swift), Guess with the Pies influence at North, Does not Surprise me

I actually really doubt recruiters at the clubs will be influenced by bigfooty and the youtube scouting department.

Clubs will have pretty much have their priorities noted down, and where they rate each player.

I just have heard that Beams or Swift where the 2 looked at for pick 11. Downside for Swift is that he has missed around 2 years of footy. Beams is a excellent midfielder, finds the footy easy, moves very well, quick with his hands and a good user of the footy. Will play senior footy next year. The impression l get is that Swift could well be a second rounder, clubs aren't really sold on him as yet, despite a good draft camp. If Swift is available at 29 then we will take him.

What are his numbers like shiny? Is he consistently involved, around 20+ possies??

Thanks for the info.

just looked up some stats from the tac cup season when queensland played there 3 games , beams averaged 32 possies and kicked 7 goals in those 3 games. Not sure on what his stats were for the div 2 champs although i did read an article back when they were being played that he had a game high against n.t, 34 touches...thought this may help some who arnt familiar with his performances

Great news for Westcoast :thumbsu: Hopefully we can take Swift with Pick 18/20. We can afford to take the risk.
