They are both victims now. She was the victim on the back of cheating. He is now the victim of someone breaking into his private belongings and smearing his public image and potentially affecting his career. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Her message (if she wrote it) makes it clear they had been separated for some time. For all we know, he broke it off with her and got a new girlfriend and she has sour grapes. If so, does he deserve to lose the captaincy?

Whatever happened, its the person that wrote the message that has thrown the kid into the spotlight.
