Peter Everitt has been a massive letdown this season and I have had enough.

I've accumulated enough money from clever trading to get rid of him and pick up either Dean Cox or Brendan Lade.

Lade has performed better so far and is more expensive, but I think Cox is a more reliable long-term investment.

Thoughts anyone...

I've got both, but Cox is, like you said, a better investment in the long-term. Has a higher potential for scoring (Rnd 1-3) and the break will help his bruised heel heal properly. Cox for me :thumbsu:

Lade's run is about to end (LoL, I said this 5 weeks ago). Thing is he didnt play well at all on the w/e and still got over 100. Dont expect big Lade to get anymore 120+s. Just wont happen with Brogan and Tredrea in the side. Cox is a gun, has no competition.

Mind you I wouldnt do the trade unless Everitt is out this week...

Yeah I'm looking to get one this week and I'm leaning towards Cox (trading Laycock off). That'll leave me with Cox, Simmonds, Fraser and Biglands, whereas up until now its been a fairly weak ruck line.

I traded mitchell clarke for white a few rounds back. He hasnt got a score below 70 and has been in orsum form with 120's recently. This gave me a ruckline of Cox, Lade, Fraser and White which has boosted my scores heeps!

I reckon the best rucks in order are,

1)Lade- Scored the 2nd most points and has got under 80 just once. Incredibly consistent while accumulating big points at the same time. With Port hitting form I'm sure his form will only lift. At 344 thousand now is worth every penny. It is great that Lade rests in the forward line rather than the bench like the other. Thats why he has been kicking a goal or so a game.

2)Cox-After a massive 1st 3 weeks he has been pretty inconsistent for him. With 4 scores under 85 he has still scored very well but has let everyone down when needed. By saying that, he is still scoring extremely well and is coming 3rd overall. At 324 thousand you wont find many cheaper averging 104.

3)White- He is the inform ruckman of the comp. No doubt. After a slowish start, getting just 1 100+ in the 1st 7 weeks he is now starting to score very heavily and looks to be in very hot form. He is quite expensive at 368 thousand but recently starting to look very dangerous.

4)Simmonds-Troy is the guy this year who has slipped under the radar alot. He started at 318 so not many would consider him. He is currently the 3rd best ruckman in the comp. coming 11th in the whole comp. His consistency has let him down a bit with 3 scores under 75 but he definately gets the scores. At 355 thousand is probably worth it if you have the other top ruckman.

5)Fraser-Starting at 177 thousand he is the most popular player in the comp. He has gone up nearly 140,000 and I'm not sure if its worth getting him now but he has still been averaging over 95. He Has been quite inconsistent with 5 scores 80 or less. Labled at the start of the year as the biggest bargain for a reason.

To have a strong team it is a necessity to have at least 3 of these 5 ruckman in your side. Which 3 isn't really important seeing they all score very very well.

There are only a few other ruckman that will give you a 70+ like biglands, charman, mooney, everitt and hille but all 5 are very inconsistent. They are good 4th rucks.

Potentially, Cox could score huge every week. He plays about 70%-75% of the game and has been playing injured for about 2 months.

Lade plays 90% of the game.

The break will do Cox good, but won't change the amount of gametime he gets. So I'd go for Lade.

1- Lade
2- Cox
3- Simmonds
4- White
5- Fraser

Fraser is alot better than Simmonds and White...

anyone got brendan lade's breakeven score for next week???

I finally get to trade Darren Jolly but have to wait until next week. Will have to opt for someone cheaper tho if Lade's price jumps up or jollys goes down too much. This leaves me with Cox, Mooney, Fraser, Lade as rucks, handy.

Guess it's just personal opinon. I have Simmonds and Fraser and have thought that Fraser has been better throughout the season.

1 point extra each round isnt siginificant enough. Fraser's been injured the last 3-4 rounds and has spent more time on the bench.

Yep, agreed. Didnt realise he was injured for the last few weeks which has caused his lower-than-normal scores. When fully fit, Fraser > White > Simmonds in dream team

Doesn't matter if he is fit or not, its what score he gets.

Mmmmm yeah he is.
Why the 'mmmmm'? It adds nothing to your post and isn't going to suddenly convince me otherwise.

Fraser rucking by himself has allowed him to score more so, whereas for various points in matches Simmonds has had to sit forward whilst Knobel and, on occasions early in the season, Stafford rucked. How often has Richards taken points away from Fraser?

Now that I really care as I had them both at the start of the season and they're both guns, but Simmonds has impressed me more this season in terms of DT.

Thats got nothing to do with DT.

Anyhow, while Simmonds rests in the Forward line, Fraser rests on the bench.

think u drawing a very long bow, naming fraser as a better dream teamer than simmonds this year.

"Mmmm" was cause its a borderline call.

Fraser is a better purchase for DT at the moment and the better player overall. He's a much more all round sort of player and can play effectively anywhere on the ground.

With Cox going down , Lade get's the honour of being the best dream team ruckmen

Now the question is: White or Simmonds?
White easily IMO (And I have Simmonds)
