They had the +1 from the opening bounce mate. Everything we kicked in was swallowed by that player in a 2 or 3 v1 contest. Remember we had more clearances and more possessions in the first quarter.

Scoreboard dictates dominance, not stats.... The inside 50's were all their way when the game was alive so it wasn't just about our entries, it was about our inability to hold the ball up.... even with our extra numbers....

The players have not executed.... not even remotely. Houli can't even bounce the ball. He tackled a bloke that he knew couldn't possibly have the ball. Chaplin fell over at the exact moment he couldn't. Port had a bloke loose in their F50.... I doubt any of those things were coaching instructions.

You want a scapegoat.... Well I can see 22 of them. Minus Cotch and Ivvy and probably Miles. Yeah ok, Dimma picked the team but there was nothing in the last 2 months to suggest the players were going to crap themselves so convincingly....

We lack foot-speed on our list, we went into the game with one less tall forward than we needed (imo, most people agreed with the non-selection) and it looks as though Martin and Conca are severely underdone. If they are, well then Dimma shouldn't have picked them but to blame the coach and absolve the players for that half is simplistic, naive and sadly predictable from the great unwashed.

Yeah he has done SFA, due mainly to Port's great ball movement and the complete lack of defensive run by our mids. If we'd known that our mids were going to be so useless and ignore the instructions to run both ways, then yeah, they could probably have gone 1on1.... but the fact that the players aren't doing the fundamentally basic things they are meant to be doing is not something that really should be planned for....

What was the early I50 count? I'm tipping it had bugger all impact early on.... The ball was played in their half..... in fact nothing has changed.

If people really think we are down by 12 goals because of a loose man they are very very simple.... the players have not executed anything they have needed to all day....

Of course the players have some responsibility, but the coach implements the game plan, has the alternatives when things go wrong. I don't think anything would have changed the result today but it would have been nice to not be so toothless.

Rance has been okay today.

Some have been outright pathetic!! Some clearly are not up to finals footy, never have been but I will not mention names!

Lids has been okay.

I do not regard this as a walkover although it looks that way, just some of our players are not up to it and overrated!

It was 14-7 last I saw when we were getting pummeled and still on zero to thirty-odd.

It was reasonable to expect to have scored from that share of I50s but the spare man helped and then fuelled their unstoppable slingshot overlap.

Port had 19 marks inside 50 to our none at some point in the 3rd quarter. Shouldn't the coach recognise some problem in the team structure and rectify it?

Look what Hinkley has done with Port in both years he has been at the helm, and from where they started (5 wins in 2012). But no, the coach has nothing to do with it.

If our board and management don't invest some funds into the football department. Wilderness again for years.

Peggy has stated the run of wins won't blind us from making the hard decisions to be better.

But the coach has the power to change it. The players are clearly in disarray.

Another stat, 2nd quarter I think it was, 12 running bounces to 1. What was DH seeing and why wasn't he reacting?
