It's a bummer that really average senior players, the type that wont win you a premiership, keep promising youngsters out of team.

I think this should work. Was going to suggest it myself.
Well, i've watched all televised games here in Melbourne on my laptop .....and if i was bothered, could just link to the TV and watch

I liked the look of Ramsay. What was his problem, just not getting enough of it?
IMO just a victim of having to turn over the list each year .......someone has to create the spaces ......maybe he had reached close to his potential

Didnt realise he was unconctracted for next year. Which concerns me slightly thinking another club is sniffing around with the aim of taking him in the PSD.

Personally think he is our second most natural forward (slightly ahead of McGovern IMO) behind Tex. Clean hands, good runner and a great kick. He kicked about 36 goals in our SANFL side coming back from injury. The unfortunate thing about our list is that he wont break into the team unless JJ or Tex go down. If he was able to play 22 games next year (and would if another club grabs him in PSD) I would suggest he would kick 40+ goals.

Geoff, think you'll find that some contracts were not completed due to the need to find the $650K per year for Gibbs .......IMO with Dear it wasn't whether a contract was on the table, it was more the value and length, which was impacted by the Gibbs deal

I'd say this applied to Henderson and others as well .......IMO the biggest beneficiary of Lyons leaving and Gibbs deal not getting done may well be Beech

Seems like a bit of a tweener to me. Not quite big enough for a genuine key position, not quite fast enough to take someone more his size at AFL level.

He had a few SANFL forwards get the better of him as a defender and never kicked a bag of goals as a forward. Does some terrific things at times, but probably a case of he'll become a very good SANFL player, but probably not good enough to make the leap to AFL. He's still young though and if he goes to a decent SANFL side he can still develop and maybe get another shot.

Do agree with this, it makes sense. There has been no talk of him being offered a contract and knocking it back, which does alleviate my concern of another club sniffing around somewhat.

Hendo no thanks. Would be more upset at retaining him than not getting Gibbs.

 Did you just say BUY???

Are they free? I think you get them with an internet bundle, but outside of that I thought they dist money. My Apple TV thingy cost about $100. I bought it because I needed it to mirror the live stream if last year's Port Lincoln NAB game. Have used it only once since and even then, if I'd known thst I could set the 7 app on the Telstra box to Adelaide, I wouldn't have used it then.

Get Netflix.

Will make that investment into an Apple TV worthwhile.

Does anyone know where we're at re list spots. Can we keep both dear and hendo on the senior list with the draftees on the way in?

Depends on the number of draftees and rookie upgrades. 4 gone already I think, you'd think the first and 3rd rounders would get used, leaving one spot for upgrades or Jarman. So it looks pretty tight to my eye. Should just delist Thommo now and use the Gibbs money to pay him out. We obviously won't be breaking our cap and we need the list spot.

You just have it free on your laptop and then link laptop to the TV ......no cost

My TV wouldn't link directly to iPad or iPhone, it needed a middle man. It has the mirroring feature, but it only works with certain brand devices. Telstra TV is the shit, wouldn't be without it now. Foxtel woukd go first if there was a choice that had to be made.

No you use the laptop as the interface to the TV .....you can access the website / app on your computer rather than IPhone

Haven't had a laptop in yonks. But as I said, the Sony Bravia only lmirrors directly to certain branded devices. I googled the shit out of that before making a mad dash to Dick Smiths before the Roo's preseason game.
