Is Chris Scott now the most losingest finals coach of all time?

In the AFL world since Ken Hinkley started coaching Port:

Geelong have lost 6 Prelims in 12 years. 50% of their seasons ended in Prelim losses

Port have lost 4 Prelims in 12 years. 33% of their seasons ended in Prelim losses.

Don't get me wrong great effort to make prelims, but there is something statistically fascinating about it. Mental weakness perhaps?

Corey enright was our coach when we lost most of them.

No thanks.

Geelong making prelims.

Tigers winning wooden spoons

The world is at peace again.
Making prelims is not what it is all about.
How did you lose the game when you were ahead with 3 minutes to go? Bad coaching that's what.
You also should have played Hawkins, Shannon Neale was like a deer in the headlights and Jeremy Cameron let you down in big moments again.

To play devil's advocate Geelong did overachieve this season (by most pre season expectations) and fought their season out unlike the likes of Collingwood and Naarm (who threw in the towel before the finals)

Their biggest lead last night was 20 points, which was hardly a match winning lead.

Once Holmes did his hammy, Geelong's flag hopes went up in flames.

That's the actual facts of what went down.

Pretty reasonable.

I think Stewart getting two weird free kicks paid also put him off his game a bit, but it was Holmes' hammy that killed most.

Alas - footy is a tough caper better to be in the final four than the bottom 4.

Were you even watching the same game as us? The scats lead was out to 25 points at one stage in the 3rd quarter.
