Was just wondering what exactly constitutes a clearance. I know the definition is the first player involved in a chain of disposal which leads to the ball clearing the area (5-10m). However, I have a few uncertainties:
1. If a player clears the ball say, 5 metres, but then that results in an immediate stoppage, is that a clearance?
2. If a player receives a free kick in a stoppage (eg ruck infringement, holding the ball etc), does that count as a clearance?
