Hey guys and gals
Please help your Pies mods by not quoting and replying to trolls, just use the report button and it will make cleaning up and removing them much easier.
Thanks.

This is why some of us considered the change room groping of another player to be a massive red flag
IT was clear then that the penny hadnt dropped with him

Pressure is on McCrae now, see if he is willing to act. If they fuddle around, waste time and hope in a few months they can keep him then McCrae is toast as a coach. His word will be mud.

No.

(Clue: if this had happened with a Richmond player, it would be dealt with by Balme, not Hardwick)

We have seen video evidence of him dancing and having a good time. But that isn’t a crime or indiscretion. AFLPA rules explicitly prevent clubs from having any controls over this kind of player behaviour this time of year.

*Alleged

We have no evidence of that except for a poorly written article on a NYC trash site.

It may well have happened, and if it did he’s in trouble.

But until then we don’t really know the facts.

Again, there is no evidence of this except for a poorly written article on a NYC trash site.

If I told you that the sky was blue would you look up to check it ?

I'm all for innocent until proven guilty '76 but it can be taken to ridiculous lengths.

“As they began dancing with her, the two groped the woman, outraging a 37-year-old man with her, police said.

When he tried to push the two blonde-haired, 6-foot plus Aussies away, Dyson, a 28-year-old tattoo artist, struck him in the face with a glass bottle, splitting his lip, police said. The two men then pounded on the man, who was visiting New York from Cambridge Mass., before returning to the bar.”

Genuine trash behaviour

Awful but the last bit is unintentionally funny. Grope a woman beat up a dude and then...more alcohol!

Society has progressed a lot in recent years and I’d expect the club to hand out tougher punishments today especially regarding things that occurred in the early 2000s.

Looking forward while the do better report was racism focused it’s likely set a broader foundation of what’s acceptable within the club towards society norms as a whole. It’s really difficult to see how any disrespect including towards women can be tolerated within that light. If DeGoey is found guilty of forceful touching I can’t see how he remains at the club.
Absolutely, if he has done something wrong make an example of him. No time for that. But we don’t yet know anything. Media can’t be trusted

Two Words
John McCarthy.

We finished 17th, the players deserve some rest, but maybe this year was not the year to be flying around the globe. You want the big bucks, prove it. These players are privileged enough to work for two hours a week for 23 weeks and earn six figures.
Jordan in particular. Wants the coin, plays like he's a fringe player who doesn't want to be there. You wonder how much of his attitude has rubbed off on some of the younger blokes, like Sier.
Pretty sure they have battle ropes in Australia too. I have some in my backyard!
He needs to grow a brain and wait another 6-7 before getting all his stupid out or just quit and give a spot to someone who gives a **** and bleeds black and white.

We also need to stop making excuses "Oh they're kids"
No, they are adults. They buy and drive pretty high end cars, buy houses, negotiate contracts with their managers...but they don't know how to act out in public or behind the wheels? Do they still wait up for Santa at Christmas?? Or is it just JDG? FFS...

Some hysterical posts.

The club will gather the facts and then act, as we can all reasonably expect them to do so.

People aren't hysterical, they are frustrated that this guy is such a good player, and vital to our side, but he keeps f'ing up. The club has stood by him on a few occasions now, and he just tosses sh1t back at them.
The posts on here are exactly what you can expect, considering the circumstances.

Ughh..
Why are AFL players above the law?
Why would you even suggest someone takes the rap for him?
Those types of comments and thinking are exactly why he, and others in the system, think they can do as they please.
AFL players are often treated more harshly because of the headlines and public scrutiny. It goes both ways. They also get targeted by men and women.

I’m sick of defending this immature dirt bag. He deserves to be sacked. If he had a handful of brain cells, he might look back with regret on pissing this opportunity up against a wall…. But he doesn’t, so he won’t.
Dirtbag? Take a deep breath. I watched a recent podcast and thought he came across as a lovely, down to earth bloke who spoke openly about his emotional ups and downs. Hardly a dirtbag. The media often plays up these altercations so I'll reserve judgement. I'll bet he has spent more time in cancer wards with kids than you have.
