does terry wallace get paid for his thoughts?

He gets paid to say words about football. Calling them ‘thoughts’ is a bit generous.

I have no idea how a serial cheat in Brian Waldron is suddenly a media personality. Got sacked from St Kilda because he was banging his secretary, got sacked from Melbourne Storm because of systematic salary cap cheating that made Carlton look squeaky clean. The guy is a bonafide loser

Banging his secretary.... interesting...:)

Haha you should post this in the “Are Port Over Doing It?” spazfest on the main board. It could use a sensible thought just to mix things up. :thumbsu:

that thread is a laugh and the cow supporting idiots who post there have no idea hence all the crazy Voss & going all out for the SANFL premiership comments

another reason for creating space with trading Youngy, Impey, Austin etc is because of all the father / sons that will become available over the next 6 years (probably between 5 - 11) + 2018 super draft players.

Youngy, Impey, Ah Chee, Palmer, Austin etc have 5 - 9 years of footy left and their positions could be filled with the future father / son players but until the father son players get drafted their positions are held by delisted free agents.

If the delisted free agents do well they relace those who retire naturally over the 5 years (eg Hoff etc) if they don't do well they get delisted and they are replaced by either the father son player or 2018 super draft player

note:-

2017 - maybe 1 father son pick
2018 - super draft
2019 - 2 father son picks
2020 - maybe 4 father son picks
2021 - maybe 3 father son picks
2022 - maybe 1 father son pick

Nah this is just a bit of a pipe dream IMO.

With Docherty doing his ACL, his intercept marking in defence may be called upon.

Shit....this is Fantasy football players nationwide.

Even without the father son picks we picked up 4 players in the draft last year and will have 5 picks in 2018 so we could allow guys to leave especially young/achee and Austin whom in a full list wouldnt get a game. Austin is the one i would miss the most as a back up but we are looking at close from brisbane who comes cheaper. Young would also be a good back up but would command more money we needed give to get the Rocky/Motlops (which is prioritising our staring 22). Also Atley and Drew will now get games so Young/achee would be a waste of the extra money. Maybe recruit a mature ager as back up and were set.

Our strategy is fine, and any other players we get will be more for the maggies to help develop Atley, Drew etc.

Former St Kilda CEO, Melbourne Storm financial analyst ;) and professional rent a quoter Brian Waldron has weighed into Port Adelaide's recruiting. And not in a good way.

"Waldron highlighted the lack of injuries at the Power last season as one reason the side potentially overachieved. Fifteen of the club’s best 22 played 20 or more games."

As opposed to the 18 that played 20 or more for Adelaide, 18 that played 20 or more for Richmond, and 18 that played 20 or more for Geelong.......

But yeah whatever.

Bugger Waldron, what does Ricky Nixon have to say on the matter?

Former Gold Coast wingman Matt Shaw, ex-Port Adelaide defender Cameron O’Shea and delisted Carlton midfielder Blaine Boekhorst have all joined in the Blues’ pre-season training.
Cam Oshit. Pettigrew mach 2. The blues are shit & so are everyone who has run the club for the better part of 2 decades.
