Its hard to even consider our delistings when we have the entire top end of our list quitting. If the club did not have that going on, i think you could have easily cut 10 players without even blinking. Now, is there even a point to delisting these blokes when a third of the list has changed before we have even gotten to "Delistings"?

You still shouldn't persist with players that you believe have no future at the club.

Any players we don’t see as apart of the future, I wouldn’t keep no matter what else is happening.

You need a VFL side with some experience to help nurture the younger draftees. Depth is also handy as we found out last year.
The VFL side was really good till our experienced listed players came back. Was downhill from there.

Macca had a good year. Why delist a good player with experience lol. We need these players more than anything now since we are losing 10 experienced players
Are we talking about the same player?

Maybe you have made a spelling mistake with the players name.

Made us wait on Dimma's replacement

Made us wait over Benny's replacement

Club seems incapable of making decisions atm. They are flinching at shadows of its former self
Keep hearing rumours of certain players being approached by certain clubs, it seems a lot of the approaching is being done by saints. Maybe it’s a case of spud clubs going after spud players so no great loss but why aren’t the rfc bods sticking our heads above the parapet and putting out any trade rumours ourselves?

Actually nah the two are probably connected. We’re saving our delistable spuds for trade capital

That's what you get this time of the year Rumor's. Don't be surprised that deals haven't been done as they are not allowed to be announced officially. Players are free to talk to other clubs and make deals J Graham anyone? Same terms same money why hasn't he come forward if he was going to stay, surely he would have come out by now.

He was ranked 555th in the AFL out of 658 players total and ranked below Cumberland and Tylar Young. He was abysmal and needs to retire. He played one good quarter in the VFL before Caleb Daniels took him apart in the midfield. He offers absolutely nothing to the team as results and his personal performances indicate. We have enough experience on the park still, but lack quality. If we had 10experienced players that we are losing playing this year then how is it possible we performed abysmally and the worst ever in our history? Experience is all irrelevant and our 2010 is the evidence as we had fxxk all experience and improved dramatically throughout the season. It's about quality players who can play the game and not quantity of games a player has played . You've got the standing still logic and are watching everyone running passed us.
Football is a business and you need results to progress and remain profitable as that's what gets quality people in the FD , Admin and importantly players. RESULTS like this year with 17 senior players on the list are damaging to the club financially and fans need life and to be shown the club is moving otherwise they will not buy in to going and even cancelling memberships. Put on your Reeboks and start running into 2025 Mr Nice Guy bc if you stand still you will come last.

The comp marvels at Port's starting midfield of Butters, Rozee and JHF when they're playing together. So many posters think these 1st round mids we're about to land will miraculously develop through osmosis by watching "experienced players" as they're shunted to flanks, pockets and sub. Like you said we've literally had our worst year in history. The sooner we can get Gibcus, Clarke, Banks, Ralphsmith, Brown, Campbell and the incoming crop to play 50-80 games together the sooner we gel as the new team emerges.

McIntosh and Graham have been putrid without fear of banishment to Magoos for too long. Even in my circle of lifelong die hard tiger fans I watched them drop off this year. Even in our darkest days I'd stay til the siren. Last season majority of the games were over at half time and I'd leave 5-10 mins before siren to get on the tram/ train before the rush. Gonna struggle for motivation to go next year. I can handle 10 goal losses if I'm seeing these gun kids get opportunities. It's painful seeing constant opposition clearances when Nank, Taranto, Hopper and Prestia are in there. The team is stale, we need to be ruthless and trim the fat that were carried by our winning flags. McIntosh's output is < than his opposition every single game. Anybody is an upgrade now.
