ah ok, wasn't entirely sure, thanks for clarifying.

I have nfi mate but from what I've read VB are very intent on offering a legitimate competing product to QF and if they are dropping one line of service (premium economy - albiet unprofitable) then you'd think they would want the other one up asap so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Just had a look at the Qantas sight and did a brief check of some flights from GC to west coast, couldn't find a direct one but only did a couple dummy checks.

Qantas don't operate to the Gold Coast at all. Qantas pulled most services out when Jetstar went live. They removed their last Sydney services a few years later when people adjusted to Jetstar

If Qantas was still in charge, they would have operated a charter for those services, similar to what they had in place for Launceston games.

I have no doubt that Virgin will try and arrange something. The first Business Class enabled plane they have will be scheduled for all of PER-OOL, PER-BNE, PER-SYD, PER-MEL game requirements.

Chairman's Lounge membership is extended to leaders of business, board members, celebrity types, some politicians, etc. etc. There are approximately 15,000 of them out there... And now there's one or two less. AD was one, maybe Adrian Anderson was one as well. Doesn't matter.

Phew, thought I would have to deal with soccer fans yapping more than usual once every four years. 90 mins for a 0-0 draw and players using theatrics to try and gain an advantage instead of playing the ****ing game?
No thanks.

Get used to it mate. I get the feeling Australia has the 2022 World Cup hosting gig in the bag.

The bigger question would be coming from Virgin Blue Australia's boss in asking the Vlad why he was flying with Qantas in the first place.

There's a slap to the players - good enough for them but not for the vlad.

You are right. Martha D is Vlad/Fonzy. Martha means "mistress of the house" and D well:rolleyes:

As for those who think Fonzy should be treated with respect, you show your ignorance. You obviously have never had to do business with him.

I supply Andrew with his supply of fried Dim Sims that he loves.

he eats about a dozen every day.

Can't believe my post got deleted

Apparantly not allowed to call Vlad a muppet (which he is)

Ah well, here's a lesson for Vlad

Treat others how you want to be treated.

You treated Qantas like dirt, they treat you like dirt.

Sir Andrew D is the greatest thing that ever happened to the AFL.

Just as soon as he plucks out the remaining dead wood from Melbourne (Nth, WB, Mel and StK) we will have a truly great national league.

How petty of Qantas.

On the underlying assumption they won't upgrade players. It is just that right now it is all talk that they are expanding their business class section. Will they have that in place by next year? Or will Naitanui, Cox, Lynch, Kennedy and co have to squeeze in to economy seats??

It will be in place by next year.

It will also be superior to Qantas, at least in terms of getting the players from A to B comfortably.

For those bothered by this decision for some reason, they will be put at ease next year.

qantas never crashed ;)
I think there's a fair assumption that the players all always use business. I've been on two flights with the cats; one was with jetstar, and the other was with qantas, where all of the players sat in economy. Not saying that they don't sometimes make use of business, but it's not nearly a luxury they all have. You can't fit 23 players into the 12???? business class seats on a plane.

I've been on heaps of flights with players on board, and i've never seen any of them in business class. Exit rows all the time though.
I'm sure it happens, but i'd imagine it's pretty rare.
