Desire to win

Is it possible to inspire the players to want to play better..they lack any kind of desire to win games..they had a bit of a go at the start and the end..but its desire to win that is lacking. They have no work ethic, they run around aimlessly and tackle like girls..

How does any coach create that in his players ? Can it be instilled or do they just have to be sacked?

by being a hardass and not tolerating it. give the players a proper spray, infront of the group. drop them if they put in a single lazy performance, no matter who it is. has to be done early during development. we should be doing that this year.

if richo had a lazy game one day, imagine the fear it would instill in the younger guys by dropping them, showing not even the heart and soul of the club is safe.
