Put a few hours into this game this weekend. Enjoying it so far, the cover options can be a little clumsy. Takes a bit to get used to not being able to look down the sights of guns.

Edit : just figured out how to ADS lol

I rented it from Video Ezy and because of the ****ing stickers that they put on the disc it is vibrating. I'm going to take it back to them tomorrow and tell them that they suck.

I enjoyed the first mission though.

For those who never played the other DEs, anyone get a Resident Evil meets Mass Effect type vibe from the game?

Like it so far but makes me yearn for ME3. :(

The cover system takes getting used to but the game really is very polished. :thumbsu:

I bought this game on the weekend and have played a few missions. Enjoyable so far but agree with Ryz re yearning for ME3.

It is absolutely ridiculous that you can not change the controls, you should be able to customise them in every single game these days. Pressing R3 to look down the sights is rubbish but I am getting used to that and the cover system.

Difficult is at a good level also, only playing on Medium and it is still quite a challenge.

Hi All,
Should I get this on PC or PS3

My PC isn't the greatest though and has inbuilt video

Favourite game of the year so far.

Spent 30 hours on this over the course of friday evening - late sunday night. which probably says more about the state of my social life than the quality of the game, but whatever.

all good except for the afformentioned control layout and pissweak boss fights.

favourite augments include PUNCHING THROUGH WALLS, BASHING 2 MEN AT ONCE, and JUMPING OFF LARGE BUILDINGS AND NOT HURTING YOURSELF.

looking forward to replaying it as a gun toting company man, and also to better understand the story as i was too stupid to properly comprehend it first time around.

My PC will play Civ V and I wouldn't think Deus Ex could be more resource hungry than that

PC games always want more - they will never be happy, no matter how much money you plow into your rig. They know you've got another credit card somewhere.

That is the way of PC gaming.

And we love it.

Too right!

I never played the original, so may have missed the point of the game, but I didn't enjoy it at all. I heard you could choose to run and gun, but when I realised that every ammo box was only going to contain a handful of bullets, I raged.

Just not my sort of game I suppose!

Easy tactic is to hack turrets, pick them up carry them to an area populated with bad guys and let it rip them up.

Do that a few times and you can get loaded on ammo from the dead.

yep, even though the devs said you can play any way you want, it's definitely geared towards stealth play. Whenever I set off an alarm or was spotted I felt like I had failed. Shooting my way out of trouble just doesn't feel right

It is a fantastic game though. The best so far this year

I know what you mean, with that. Same token, I enjoyed getting up high and sniping once the alarm has been sounded.

Loving it, not enough time in the day to play all the awesome games that have come out/coming out. This, xenoblade, catherine atm with the usual suspects coming soon.

Is anyone else finding this game quite difficult? I usually like to play games on Hard yet I struggled on Medium and even switched back to Easy just so I can get through some parts. Only up to the first 'boss' as well so slow going.

My mate is the one who suggested playing it on Easy also and he finished most, if not all, of Crysis 2 on Super Soldier.

Anyone else struggling more than normal or are we just spuds at this game?
