Big bodied midfielder, kicked goals as a junior and has a four goal game at AFL level.

Worth another shot I’d have thought, had an ACL injury

Very clean below his knees, not quick but neither are Pendlebury or Cripps

If youre slow you have to be able to get the ball, hes just always been a bit off the pace of the game, doesnt read the ball quick enough to make up for that lack of pace.
His 1 good game of AFL was as a tall forward, which is a position we are absolutely stacked in, and Culley really is a mid anyway.
If the Eagles didnt have a bunch of other big body mids and had a bunch of quicker outside mids instead then maybe he would have been retained.

I think Rotham should be gone too btw, but as a pure depth option Rotham does fill more of a need than Culley. We dont have any defenders with experience outside our best 22 other than him.

Culley won't make it as a midfielder. He's too slow and doesn't read the play very well. I'd love to see him make it as a forward though.

Would've given him another year myself, after the ACL. Probably could find a spot as a defensive mid but doesn't have the breakaway pace to be the main man.

Will be a very good state league player, at the very least.

Too slow for AFL. That'd be fine if he were first to the ball but he's not.

Knee didn't help either. I'd have been happy giving him one more year though but if he's not picked up, he'll be a very good state league player.

Hes more suited to a CBA mid in the receiver role or a defender than a wingman

I thought he would have settled and shown more off HB
