What do we do with him next year? Showed no real presence on the field today, was squibbing contests and not showing any real tenacity or toughness at all. To top this off, he isn't delivering any miraculous goals or moments that he used to be renowned for.

What are the positives of having him on the field instead of a young player?

I equate him to Leon last year.

Leon just lost his form last year and looked gone. We didn't know if Father Time had caught up with him or if it was injury.

If Didak is injured, no problem.

If he isn't...doesn't look good.

Given the rapidity of his decline this year, I'd back injury ( Plus the fact he had no preseason)

Hopefully he can re find his form.

Was bullish about him today and he did next to nothing

Nothing will happen to Didak. Buckley won't have the cojnes to do anything with him but hope he regains form next year.

Can't believe you guys are killing off Dids, has a bad year after no pre season and you all want to get rid of him, I bet you are the same people who wanted to kill off Leon last year too, show some respect and support.

Reid and Jolly had a poor finish to the year, do you want to get rid of them too?

Hardly his fault. The crime was at the selection table IMHO. He should never have been picked. And hindsight is 20/20 but geez would love to have swapped Reid for Goldsack. Reid looked lamer than a 3 legged horse.

Proud of my team though. They tried hard but the best team on the day won the game.

Problem is not ****ing Didak. I'm pissed off and as gutted as ANYONE, but the fact is he tried, that's all you can ask.

Christ, the guy was excellent last year and missing the preseason wrecked him. Now, I'm not saying that makes his season any better, but it's not his fault.

We played him. We selected him. He should've been dropped to find form and/or left out of the team.

Goldsack would've been better, Fasolo would've been better, probably ANYONE would've been better, but if you're selected and you play, you do your best.

The idea that we should trade the guy is ludicrous. If he's average next year he'll probably retire anyway, so it's a moot point.

GOD I HATE GEELONG AND EVERY OTHER TEAM TOO ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

Should stop being gifted games, thats all.

Fasolo should never have got a game ahead of Goldsack. With injury doubts over Reid and Jolly its just a stupid selection.

We need to get more hard nuts into the team, not these fancy do gooders. Macaffer would have been huge today and was sorely missed. Bringing in the sack as the sub when Reid was on 1 leg would have turned the game.

Not the furst time we have lost a game at the selection table.

In hindsight, you're correct. It felt as thought Fasolo was Didak's emergency and it should've been one or the other for Goldsack. We went in with one too many small forwards who disappeared. Goldsack would've been a great back up in defence today.

Also agree with your second paragraph, in the forward line in particular. Not enough hard, tough small players. Blair is alright, but still too young, Fasolo is in the same shoes, so when we're off we have too many passengers, which always seems to be the case IE. Didak, Krakouer, Sidebottom. Good to see the latter two do something today though.

Sorry to butt in but even if he was underperforming he would draw a good opponent on reputation alone which I personally feel is invaluable to structure... I'm also posting cause I have a soft spot for Didak. Anyway bad luck for the game... but you guys will be bigger and better for it next year.

IMO, he is going down the slippery dip. Has lost a yard in pace and is too easily pressured by the opposition beacuse of it. I would have played Goldsack for him.

If anything, it just goes to show how important a full pre season is to a player. Didak has been a shadow to his 2010 season and this (imo) is because he had no preseason this year to work up his tank. Whilst he received heavy attention this year like he has for the last few, he hasn't been able to push up into the midfield like he has done in the past to try and burn the tag off and instead has just sat in the forward line losing confidence week after week.

I'm sure if he can get a full pre season behind him next year, he will push back to having stints in the midfield and be one of the players you want the ball in the hands of and one the opposition will want it out of.

We look a much better side when Didak is up and about - give him a full pre-season and watch out for him in 2012.

Have a feeling he might respond to Bucks' coaching next year.

Goldsack would have been a good move IF we had known Pods would be getting injured.

And on Didak, bit harsh. His role today was to negate Scarlett and I thought he did that quite well. Was a bit rusty at the start of the game, and I thought he had been pushed in the back a couple of times but kept Scarlett to 12 possessions and 5 marks.

Didak.... Where do i start?

Went into last years gf with an injured shoulder, didn't get a full pre-season. Been slightly niggled at with injuries this year.

Trust me guys, a full pre-season, some nice rest and he'll be back to 100% for next year.
