4 games for Port and 4 times listed in their bests.
Last three games either 2nd. or 3rd. best.

Can't help wondering how this comes about.
Couldn't get near the ball playing for us.

Played very 'wide' for us, haven't seen how he's been playing at Port.

I'm sure if we had have signed some better quality VFL players while he was with us, he may have won more of the ball and made more of an impact.

15, 25 and 18 with a goal in the first three rounds. Maybe the penny dropped, but I doubt his fitness level is stellar.

Think he always had the skill that's why he was recruited, looks like he has lined up in the back pocket obviously carltons defence is pretty well sorted at the moment.Port being a stand alone club is the be all and end all so maybe more coach love , playing as a team rather than individually as some did last season or seasons?

Think he was missing something really vital for making it at AFL level, those at the club would know exactly what it was, and decided not to persist, my guess is something to do with fitness, I really rated DVR in his draft year, but I think he will be one of those players that are great VFL player and just not up to AFL level.

26 kicks, 11 marks ...last week ?
10 of those marks were uncontested, and that win was against Coburg, who have won one game for the season.

He's got a prodigious kick, but he's never been able to get his fitness beyond playing in spurts off HB in the VFL.

Unfortunately, the picture I'm left with of DVR is one of him struggling in the back-end running group comprised of; Cameron Wood, Liam Jones and DVR.
How we ever thought we'd turn him into a mid is..............odd.

Seemed like a lovely guy though and looked every inch a footballer. Just had no tank nor scope to push through the pain barrier.

Still didn't crack 20 possessions.

Consistency and durability remain his issues, because of an on-going back issue.

Sometimes it’s not all about possession counts, did some nice things in the last quarter of the Grand Final when the pressure was on, Mr reiliable all year.
Hope he gets another crack at the big time.
Port Melbourne had a special group this year, something NB have struggled with for ages.
Maturity counts a lot , maybe they should of stuck with him abit longer Carlton might rue this one.
Good luck to him anyway.

He simply ran out of puff too easily and didn't particularly like to train.

May well be someone that just needed more patience with but SOS was not a fan at all.

Is there any chance a club will rookie him next year?

I know generally once players have been delisted recruiters want to see a good body of work over a few years but he's still only 21.
