Hello, I'm Footypie32 and I play for the Gold City Royals and I need to ask you all something. Your cries of inactivity have been heard loud and clear at Royals HQ and our recruiting team ( Blacky and I) have gone into overdrive, however, the response has been quite average. Sad face.

It got me thinking as to why. Is it just the fact there are too many lazy gooses willing to let others do the leg work? Probably.

But then I thought a little harder. Maybe it's the brand? The Royals name evokes a certain sense of arrogance. A certain elitist clique-iness that might not be overly appealing to the average Sweet FA player. It's not edgy, it's not hip.

We all saw the disaster that was the "Direwolves" embarrassment, but that doesn't mean that re-brands are all bad or that they should never be attempted again. They just need to be done right.

Or maybe, once again, I'm way off the mark and it's none of the above, but I felt like I need to rule this out before exploring other options.

Goodbye.

We're looking for a new PR manager. Interested?

I said yes and then immediately changed my mind.

The Gold City Royals have no real life attachment to anything, therefore a re-brand would be completely superficial and will not address the real problem.
