No issues personally with the place except the icy wind that occasionally whips through the La Trobe St gate and freezes any poor bugger in level one. Transport is second-to-none and if we ever drive I find Harbour Town parking a breeze. But then again I'm from Ballarat and go to most games at Kardinia Park where you sit in the cold and rain needing rain coats, beanies and sometimes even gloves (ask Richo) while standing on the concrete Gary Ablett terrace.

It seems like more and more yellow seats appear every time I watch. Just noticed the ones behind the Adelaide cheer squad. I wonder if they're steadily replacing all of the seats.
I would say the red ones will be yellow in the the not too distant future. It appears that whole end will be advertising for Four and Twenty.

Regarding the Medallion Club, if I buy a one off seat on ebay or something is there a dress code applicable? If so how stringent is it?

I went last night on a free ticket a mate gave me. Seemed to be pretty similar to MCC in terms of dress code, although I did see some people in T-Shirts and jumpers so YMMV

What did you wear yourself then? Like most I am not used to dressing up for the footy so not sure how formal to be :p

But for 30 dollars more to experience Medallion Club for the first time it is worth a go :)

I just wore an open collard shirt, some chino pants and some nice shoes. No one was in suits, but everyone was smart casual on the upper side I would've said.

No open shoes, no tracksuits and no sleeveless tops (including guernseys. It's really relaxed these days.

The dress code at Medallion Club is fairly relaxed - no tracksuit pants, no sports shorts, no rubber thongs. Also, no sleeveless tops (eg. singlets or sleeveless footy jumpers) for men. Sleeveless tops for women are ok.

T-shirts, jeans and sneakers are allowed.

there is now blokes outside the gates scanning people with handheld metal detectors. I love getting out of the house and going to different matches but the whole experience is turning to shit.

That's happening at the MCG too. Is a bit annoying.

I wonder what they like most about it. Is it the crushing 200 metre shuffle to the station after the game?

Odd how people who mention the congestion (which is annoying) don't have an issue with the longer, muddier walk to Richmond station where a worse bottleneck awaits.

Maybe it's losing sight of the ball because of the fluorescent advertising. That was the final straw for me. When they sacrifice spectator vision for the advertising dollar, you know they've finally lost their minds. I'll never go there again.

So you must not go to MCG games either.
