Yeah but it isn't exactly TOUGH to beat a pathetic victorian team who's just making up the numbers at Perth. I wouldn't call that bouncing back.

Next week is a training run for freo. They'll make the prelim no doubts.

Do I detect a certain residual bitterness?

The conditions suited Adelaide to a tee. Away games are especially difficult when their is a wind blowing.

I dont think either will take a lot from that game. Despite all the home ground advantage Adelaide took over 3 quarters to hit the front. Freo didnt step up their intensity to finals level all game.

Freo will win next week but need to be a bit more hard at it.

do Freo train and play in an enclosed Dome?

can't they play footy outside in the wind?

both sides had to play in same wind, did they not?

conditions are not an excuse for any side as they both have to survive the 4 quarters in the same weather!

Chris Connolly's coaching was brutally exposed today.
I was baffled how Connolly could let Adelaide have loose men in Freo's forward line when Pavlich was constantly double or triple teamed.

They played into Adelaide's hands, Freo where always going to lose if they ****ed around with the ball and allowed them to play ugly football.

Without flooding Adelaide are nothing.

You're not serious are you. Adelaide with its injuries (I'd like to see Sydney have 6 of its best players out) gets two weeks rest. We butchered the ball early with our scoring and should have led by 2-3 goals at halftime.

Funny watching everyone jump off the bandwagon now.

They never had a hope.

Poor coach + Too many soft players with no heart + Inexperience in finals = Failure in Finals

The only reason we weren't infront earlier was 1) Freo kicked with the gail first and 2) We butchered so many opportunities in the second quarter.

26 scoring shots to 11 says it all. We gave Freo a root for 3 quarters.

laughable......I am thinking of those Freo fans comparing them to the Lions in 2000, talk about delusions of granduer

It was others that said it, not us. Do your homework before you start making accusations....

I'm hoping we can bounce back, I'm pretty confident that we can beat Melbourne next week, but I will be very, very nervous, as anything can happen. We were the 3rd placed team, playing the 2nd placed team on their home ground with 40,000 screaming home ground fans. They were the "team to beat, the Crow-bots" right up until round 18.... They ground away, ground away, ground away at us until we cracked. Full credit and congrats to them for keeping at it and coming away with the win.

If our boys fold next week playing at home against a lower ranked team, then questions about mental toughness and their ability to cope with finals will need to be asked. Personally, I am quite confident they will win. Fingers crossed. :)

Did you even watch the game?

Adelaide had 1 loose man in defence at centre bounces when Freo were with the wind.

Fremantle had 3 loose men nin defence at the centre bounce when Adelaide were going with the wind.

Both teams flooded, but it was entirely necessary today, otherwise the opposition would have piled on 10 goals with that breeze.

Pavlich if left one out could of been the game breaker. Connolly was too dense to figure that out.
Could cost them a chance for the penant.

Connoly can't be blamed for not getting Pav one out. We would have just kept dropping players back until we had him 1 on 2 or 1 on 3. Would have been suicide by us to leave him alone with Stevens.
