Thoroughly enjoyed this thread - but if we're going to get all nostalgic about names can we at least get nostalgic about the type of ****in beer glasses classic names like Dougal should be drinking from. I don't know about you lot but I grew up with pots, schooners and jugs. Pots when having a social drink, schooners when getting rat arsed or with dinner and jugs if you were thirsty enough to drink the lot. Sometimes you'd hear an old cobber asking for a pony or a 7 but I never heard a bloke ask for a pint until I saw a hipster trying to explain to me why organic honey wheat beer was good. **** pints
