Yeah we stuffed up. FFS. All we need is for the usual melt posters like Scham to hate this selection and ill be wrapt. Most on here wrong 80% of the time on draft day.A couple I take notice on what they say simply because they're wrong pretty close to 100% of the time when analyzing talent, Ill call them the melt team. Actually really like this pick too. I read in a draft preview that he was the most damaging player in terms of mids in the forward half of the ground at the underage champs statistically. Similar to Walters in that regard. Compared to Robbie Gray. That would be a terrible outcome. Definitely quickish. People melted at the Fyfe and Neale selections too at the time they were drafted.

Meanwhile back in reality. Serong won the Vic Country's most valuable player award at the underage champs. He laid the second most tackles overall at the U18 Champs and was the top ranked midfielder for metres gained. Prefer him to Roberton because of his defensive stuff and kicks longer. Looks like we got a natural footballer and im pretty sure thats what most say they want. I think he's significantly quicker than advertised which is why he gets soo many tackles and why he's been compared to Gray.

My plan for next year at the moment would be for him to come into the team for Matera after he puts together a good run of games at peel. He will immediately improve our forward pressure playing as a small forward and can rove off a pack as well as Matera. Then later in the year see how he goes with brief spells onball.
