The way Amiss was spraying them it probably would have ended up OOF

Jez did the righty and we were the better off for it
Hats off to him
Was as good as a win
I really like Sharp's keenness to have a shot on goal. That and his general game continues to strengthen. He's also very clearly a 'for the team' player. Very glad we have him.

This is why teams can't realistically compete with all their KPFs being so young, switching Jye for Voss does t solve any problem either, any difference in strength is lost on talent.

There is nothing to do but let Jye work through it and get used to it. He'll come through it for the better in the long run but there's no short term fix

They killed us in stoppages but we killed them on turnover.

I would have put my house on that being the other way around prior to the game. I also think it's a great sign for us moving forwards.
That's actually unreal but how does it add to 75?

Good back and forth heated tiff about that umpiring decision between Cummings and Duffield on the sen radio this morning lol

Thing about this argument which frustrated me, is the rebuttal seemed to be, change the rule, not make sure that it’s enforced every time. It’s one of those rules that has been left behind. It won’t be now. Good. Great! Everyone in the comp will know to hand the ball back straightaway. and that’s a good thing, because time wasting is a problem, and just handing it back is basic common decency. Be respectful to the bloody umpires!

And yeah, serves the pies right, they started the save the game chip the ball around stuff really early. I hate it when we do it, so good to see egg on another teams face for once!

I realised it must have been something only those at the game saw - I couldn't see anything on TV. I could hear some drums beating after the Pearce goal not sure if it was related to that?

Yep, video of waves crashing on a boats hull, weakened lights, music and Warfie Time up on the screen. Was pretty cool if only for the fact I’ve gone to about 10 or so games at Optus and never seen it before.

I've seen it once before, I'm sure this was the second time it's appeared.

It might have been North Melbourne last year or something, which is why some have forgotten it.

That's actually a massively good sign for us. I'm suddenly incredibly bullish.

We've been **** on turnover for ages. Keeping them that low while scoring that much is a great effort given how good they've been at it.

Interesting that nobody putting the boot into us didn't mention how the Pies relied so much on stoppage and kickouts. Pretty sure they're considered "unsustainable" when we win games like that.

It’s what we should have been called given in WA we call them Wharfies not Dockers, Dockers is an eastern states term.
I think not. It was rumoured when the name became known that many who were waiting to join the new club baulked at the idea of a Fremantle team having a name that had ties to the wharf.Turned Right instead of Left.
True story.

Geez, haven't the Pies supporters gone beserk over the call to Darcy. Social media and all the news articles on FB are under siege by the toothless ones.
Had a few interesting"Discussions" with a few.
Their usual cry of, you wanted to join OUR competition.Little do they know it was the other way round.
But they are frothing at the gums.Makes for good fun and good reading. And they bite better than a Tom Percy article on the Eagles.

having grown up in the southern suburbs or Perth i had never ever heard the word Wharfie.
Only heard the term Docker meaning the crew who Docked the Ship Tied it up and made it safe. hauled the ropes across the wharf.

But now i have been educated by others on here that apparently they are called Wharfies!

Interesting to read on other threads on here that apparently wharfies are known as being lazy, sleeping at work, in drugs a lot, all educational to me

All made up stuff.
But I only ever heard of them as wharfies. There was a book written by an East Fremantle identity about footballers and Wharfies. Or something similar. So many WAFL pplayers of the past were wharfies.
It surprised me a bit when the name Dockers was chosen when on the East Coast the Painters and Dockers were a union that had criminal ties.
