By "born in to the job", I mean it was in her blood. Her Dad had been a foreign correspondent. Her brother was in it. She was drawn to it from her ties to them. She wouldn't have got as far as she did (or for as long) if she wasn't considered any good. She is pretty knowledgeable about rugby league - I think that was her forte. She wouldn't be the first to comment on things they know nothing about... Michaelangelo Rucci springs to mind.I do agree with your argument about patriarchal views about women, but then you went on to say she was essentially born into the job.
That doesn't do much for her credibility either. As opposed to someone who earned their place, instead of asking Daddy for a job.
Plus if a woman (or man) want to sleep their way to success, good luck to them! I wish I could apply for jobs with my looks.
