Over the past few weeks Stevens has played a big role at carlton in the midfield but still needs to improve the last 4 games in a row Stevens tends to put his team under pressure, which result in the opposition scoring. Lats week against Brisbane he got taken of the ground twice, which Pagan had maade a good call to do that. I think stevens should be drop in the bullanits team to show him how it feels to be out of the carlton senior team.

haha drop stevens...we have no other gun midfieldier, lately he has been trying to do too much to get us a win!!!!!!!!!

....lets not get carried away though. His form has been down and his work rate on Saturday night was average. Kouta on the otherhand has been excellent ally year and is our best midfielder at present.

he had a good tag on sat night and had no impact, you have to expect that on occasions...imagine that tag on campo, i imagine campo giving him a crack and coping weeks..every other team has a midfield rotation , we dont as we have no one to rotate with

Listen to Jack. Jack knows.

Drop Stevens. Rest Fev (got a bad groin you know). That Lappin bloke has been struggling a bit - back to Preston for him, too. Thornton has been playing on blokes bigger than him, it's got to be wearing him down, rest him at Preston.
Kouta, made a clanger last week. Dump him. And Waite.

I agree. He coughs the ball up too often. Put him in the magoos, thereby sending the message that anyone who turns the ball over consistently will be dropped.

Couldn't have said it any better :)

We won't have a senior team if that happens!

so be it. If you keep getting rewarded for turning the ball over - it will help no one. Drop Lappin or Stevens when the continually can't hit targets. It sends a stern message to the playing group that it's not acceptable. At the moment, whether I can hit a bloke from 40 m away or not, I know I'll still get a game. And that's not a healthy place to be.

So I guess you like the idea of getting thrashed by over 200 points.

What. And bring in David Clarke????

If Stevens or Campo etc are injured and it drops their performance levels below what is required then they shouldn't be playing.

I believe that Nick is struggling with both mind and body. He is a highly gifted player but I still don't think he has the mental toughness that true champions have.

Jack's comments are not as far off the mark as some of the responses are suggesting. Stevo playing like he is at the moment is not giving us what is required.

However if he regains fitness then he is obviously worth his place in the side. He does need to do much more work on himself to live up to the status that Carlton supporters have given him.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to post on the site after reading dribble like this cr_ap. This genius wants to drop one of the few decent footballers we have. He is playing on one leg and he is still better than half of our fit players.

FFS get a football brain or don't insult us with your moronic thoughts.

I am not adding any comments to the Stevens issue but do wish to comment on the above post. Whilst it is not directed at me I find this sort of post highly negative and inappropriate. I would imagine this is perhaps up to the moderator to judge but thought I would have my say anyway. To Blue Boyz what gives you the right to be so judgemental of another supporter. How are you so sure of your opinion and intelligence?

Good call... lets replace them with blokes who can't get the ball at all......

Watch how many times he turns the ball over exposing our midfield and backline.

He should be dropped if we had any ticker.

Your comment smacks of accepting mediocrity. If we're fair dinkum about getting off the bottom then we need to set standards - turn the ball over consistently, you will get dropped. HOW ELSE do you improve as a unit? Don't start talking draft picks - I'm talking about NOW!

If we dropped blokes on turnovers alone Houlihan would have been playing in the Northern Bullants twos for the last month.

Precisely - I think he should be dropped too!

Pagan has said that we butcher the ball - but then Houlihan and Stevens keep doing it and still get a game. And we wonder why we're still on the bottom of the ladder.

if we dropped players for turnovers then Thornton Sporn Campereale Stevens & Scotland would all be playing for the bullants ...but the only problem would be the players replacing them would not be able to get the ball let alone miss targets
