I don't watch many Melbourne games, so this may be a stupid question but I'm gonna ask it anyway.
Where do Sylvia's points come from? He doesn't kick that many goals, does he? ...and someone just said he wasn't an accumulator.
Is he a big tackler?

Some great discussion on a player that was almost the notion of a lock in so many teams, yet he had never been talked about or discussed and who started it?? ahahah
Happy i made people think twice about it and realise he aint a lock in like so many saw him as.
Great post by Dogs.
@Hannabal you misread the post. Dogs is saying Sylvia will get the number 2 tag which i think will be the number 1 midfield tag/defensive tag. Where as Davey will likely get the midfield/offensive HFF tag.
What are peoples thoughts on
Nahas scores of 105 , 81 , 99
Personally I don't think he's any guarantee for best 22 at all. If you're paying $264,300 for someone i'd definitely be looking at a higher job security for a start.
^^ I agree cant understand how people cant start with these links, that is basically my first priority.
Just unsure which C/B to pick Hibberd or Heppell or maybe both. Cant see both playing at the same time Hibberd looks very solid scoring wise aswell, but is he just taking Slattery spot ATM??
C/F will be through Prestia for me.
might sound like a stupid question: How much would Hale need to score for him to rise in price? i can afford to upgrade a 97,000 rookie to hale worth 184,000. My thoughts are to give Hale the first 5 rounds, then before Petrie can start going up in value, downgrade (hopefully) Hale to Petrie and make myself some cash while at it. Thoughts?
he has to score 45.
you can find the break even number for any player on tooserious.net.
Would u think goodes plays better with or without bradshaw?
Yeah I was thinking along those lines too peppershaker. Being a Sydney supporter do u think bradshaw will be fit for round 1, if not ill probabaly pick stevie j instead
I wanted to bring something up which I feel has not been touched on or discussed all pre-season.
Let's not forget:
In the last 114 years of VFL/AFL football, we have never had a season run for 24 rounds.
"So what?", you may ask?
"What effect may this have from a DT perspective?"
Well while we are on the topic of Sylvia, it will help players such as him as the 2 byes for him (Round 5 and 16) will give him the rest to replenish the energy stores and to manage the sore spots. Keep in mind, he has never had the luxury of 2 mid-season byes before in his life.
Contrary to what most people would think, the longer season this year will benefit bigger bodies, and less durable players, as they will get two weeks to "freshen up". Trust me, as a footballer who has played for 18 seasons, I know how much a week off from football can help out the body.
Just something to think about.
Even if Bradshaw is right for R2 than Goodes will still do very well. Im strongly considering Goodesy as we speak, could be his DT peak year at 30+.
