Correct. Ranting here won't achieve much. Our goal is to get rid of him. Email foxtel! Everyone. Be brief, in depth or whatever. Just let them know. Or they won't care.

Just emailed them this:

I am currently subscribed to Foxtel (Austar to be exact) and will attempt to see out this footy season (as I am getting HD at a discounted rate for 6 months) but make no mistake if Dwayne Russel is part of the commentary team next year I will cancel my subscription. I can take bad or annoying commentary to an extent but he is on another level.

I seriously do not know ONE person who thinks he does well. NOT ONE! EVERYONE I speak to or happen to watch a fox game with finds him to be infuriatingly annoying try and endure. I'm sure he is a nice man but please get rid of him asap. Will try to see out this year but am not in a lock in contract and as much as I love my footy it is not worth the fee with this bloke completely spoiling every match he puts his ear shredding voice to.

As much as we hate him, he's probably signed a significant contract throughout the current deal and it would be unlikely they would pay him out over a few pissed off footy watchers that complained directly to them.

I cut Austar off at the end of last season. Told them why, but no response.

Currently listening to Derwayne on a average picture quality stream.

It's not ideal, but at least I'm not paying that clown's salary.

I'm not sure if this has been said before, if so my apologies, but the ting that really gets under my skin about Dwayne's commentary is when he always says "ball in" instead of "throw in".

Probably isn't a big deal but I just hate it.

It drives me crazy as well mate. "Ball in" sounds like a crappy basketball term.
