His development has stalled

Not getting enough of it and coughs it up when he does

Hasn't gotten much bigger and not sure of his tank

But it's tbe turnovers by foot that are the big worry

Can he kick it from the impossible angle....!

Imp-

Okay I'll stop myself there

Great goal though :thumbsu: Need to keep the kid in, he might make one nervous occasionally but he absolutely never stops steaming along and does a lot right.

Bucks will make it
Was good last night
In time he will run games out better
I think we all knew he had talent from his first game a NAB game where Ratts lauded him post game
Usually you can see they've got talent

Buckley has played good quality games this year so he deserves to stay at the Carlton football club. He can kick from an angle which is impossible for some. Big improvement.

Noted the commentators, mostly Gerard Healy said that Buckley went well tonight, that even though he didn't get a lot of ball and made a blue by not finding Daisy inboard, that the defensive chasing and effort was really good. Another chipped in saying he liked him.

They can't all get heaps of ball. Note that he got burned twice in that last quarter, once by Levi and Daisy got his own back by kicking across his body to the centre when Bucks was breaking into space beside him. Again, the decision to kick had already been made though.

Going to find it very hard to get back into the seniors with Sumner, Lamb & Wright all spending time forward & Simpson, Docherty, Byrne & Tuohy down back. At this stage he is depth.

True. Dylan was depth even when he wasn't depth...... :)

Just can't see him pulling his game together for what Bolton requires. Maybe he will but I just don't see it.

Does he perhaps lack the footy smarts to gel with Bolts' gameplan?

I think so. Buckley has to have a specific role and get to know it inside out and to date, that just hasn't been achieved.

He won't be going down back again any time soon and he hasn't really shown much as a forward either. Spots are closing up for him.

He needs to stick with Kade and learn as much off him as he can. He has pace, can take a grab, but his footy "awareness" lets him down otherwise Ide say outside mid on the wing, link up player. Otherwise .................... sorry Jimmy, your boy goes.

I hope Dylan doesn't consider himself a failure. He had a massive crack every time he stepped out onto the field and that's more than a few recent delistings can say.

I enjoyed watching him play off half-back when he probably had his best patch of form for Carlton. All the best in the future Dylbucks.
