Eade sacked...sad sad day

What's your point?

We're about to enter really dark days, which have have no relation to 1996 or1997.

Our situation now has nothing about 1996.

You remember 1996 don't you? We sacked our coach mid-season finished second last above only Fitzroy and got thumped repeatedly.

We have been rancid at times this year, but we have also had nothing from Lake, barely anything from Cooney and a whole host of other problems. We've also had a few decent wins - Carlton comes to mind.

It ain't all bad. I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. Appoint Neeld and let's get on with it.

James Podsiadly: Our Mastermind said no

Dont rate Pods at all, useless at ground level, large turning circle and generally performs poorly outside skilled. Would struggle in our team, his contested marking is all he has got.

Totally agree. As a member i want to pay my respects to this man who has put his life into the bulldogs over all those years.

So how can we do it?

Wear one of these to the last match at Docklands. Can double for a Bazza tribute. Win-win!

Eade gone and now Vez, Cordy and Tutt finally in the team. Bloody good riddance Rodney.

Cordy and Tutt were going to be getting a game this week anyway. In his press conference, Rocket said there will be another couple of debutants this week. Only said it in passing, but he did say it.

Like others have mentioned I think it's a poor decision. (Unless of course he wanted out. Not sure he would have however considering there is no guarantee he's going to get another head coaching gig. Melbourne is his most likely destination if anything but you'd think he would rate your chances of ultimate success much higher.)

The Dogs have been regulars in the Top 4 since Eade has been coach and you sack him after one disappointing season. Thumbs down.

From the outside looking in, your view is probably justifiable, but the writing has been on the wall for some time Willow.

I heard that this was going to happen months ago, and that Leon Cameron was going to be appointed - I didn't believe it at the time, as I thought our club was far to professional to do that. If so where is the process around appointing a new coach? If Smorgon likes him he get's the nod is that right. What a joke:mad:

So how are you all going to feel if Eade takes over Melbourne and takes them to a flag - still abusing me then.

1. Looks like you're going to buy a membership next year after all
2. Looks like you need a new source
3. After all the whingeing about the sacking of Eade and that it was a stitch up to get Cameron in, will everyone own up they were wrong?

Unnamed1 I am happy to be proven wrong, but I reported what I heard exactly from an influential supporter just before the Adelaide game, before Rocket was sacked, and before the bookies put Leon Cameron in as a short place favourite at $1.12.

I am glad that the club brought in other's to sit on that panel who have integrity namely the great man, and a ex Geelong captain/player, I don't regret saying what I said, because from what I can gather the club does keep tabs on the forums and I think we need to speak up and challenge a lack of process if it occurs, and if I had to I would do it again.

Okay see, that's a cop out. People who make sweeping statements and guarantees and say "THIS" will happen, must back it up with "If I'm wrong then I'll do this".

A friend of mine said he'd eat his words, so he filmed a video of him eating a piece of paper (this was him tipping the tigers would beat the bulldogs this year).

So next time you are so sure something will happen, you have to say "And if I'm wrong I'll do....."

This whole thing of someone saying this will happen and I'll be happy to be proven wrong. That's just plain soft.

If you are wrong, then the person has to do SOMETHING meaningful. After all you were proven wrong, you've got to give something up!

Prime Example - Grant Thomas acknowledged he was wrong by saying he's got a "poultry of eggs on his face"

You on the other hand just said you were happy to be proven wrong.

SOFT!

So next time you make a big sweeping statement that you believe is 100% correct just put a little asterix and say what you'll do if you are wrong...make it a bit interesting ;)

:confused:Would you like to show me where "I said this will happen" - I repeated what I had been told, and the bookies the media and everyone else was sure of the same conclusion. Thank god the club made a different choice decision, and as Darcy said today, the decision to not appoint Leon Cameron was probably in recognition that "it looked too much like a boys club" which was my concern.

So would you mind telling me what makes you think you can order me around and tell me what I should say or do? And where does your authority come from? Last time I checked you are just another supporter just like me.
