Close but no cigar.....5 goals up in the 3rd and found a way to lose the match....frustrating in deed.....good to see Loersch kick a few in the seconds.....good win by reserves and especially the colts.....4 points away from a 3/0 clean sweep at Joondalup...
Jack Carroll another big day in the colts.

I looked into the EF coaches box and it is full of Garlic, the who's who of X West Perth staff....whats going on in Shark land? LOL

Watched the game on TV. You guys came to play and should have walked away with the points. Dominated for the best part of three quarters.

I must say I lost my shit at the free kick in front of goals to you guys at half time. Two second grab of the jumper from the West Perth player playing in front but geez it looked a bit weak.

Naidoc Week

It’s NAIDOC Round in the WAFL and the Sharks host Claremont at New Choice Homes Park this Saturday.

We have plenty of activities lined up for the whole family and we can’t wait to have you at Shark Park. We are also celebrating our District with a Parade of our 15 Junior Clubs at Half time.

We seem to have very few first nation players. What is happening in Gero?

WP & Claremont are consistently every year the top 2 when it comes to frees for and winning the free kick count in games

Hog wash....give us some proof, Swannies get a good deal when we play them at Basso, as soon as the drunks on the hill moan, Swans get a free...:moustache: and they moan a lot:rolleyes:

We winning

The coaching team have added several players to the squad with Zach Jackson, Nick Kommer, Reuben McGuire, Max Murphy, Ambrose Ryan and Brynn Teakle coming in.

The Reserves will look to replicate their dominant Round 6 win this weekend. Sitting just outside the top 4, the boys will need a victory to keep their 2020 finals chances alive. Cam Loersch, Matthew Burton, Jamie Meade, Alex Bray and Tom Marshall will be looking for strong performances to again press their claims.

Our Colts handed West Perth their first loss of the year and will be looking to do the same for Claremont, who are sitting on top of the ladder, undefeated. Brandon Walker, Jack Carroll and Finn Gorringe have all began training with the Seniors and will be looking to press their League chances. While young gun, Jack Williams will be looking to build on his 4-goal performance against West Perth.

Could definitely do with O'Reilly in EF side this weekend. Be great to keep the momentum going v Subi after EF last 3 close coulda, shoulda woulda losses...hopefully the team don't have a blow out loss.....Subi desperate for the win to keep their finals hopes alive.....can't see many if any changes by the coaching team....wonder if EF roll the dice on Bonomelli and Loersch to stretch Subi's defence without Lockyer, Litherland etc......

Should be another good colts clash between EF and Subi....can EF take another top scalp and beat Subi.....definitely need the win if EF colts want to play finals.

If you are able to post going back to the future you should be winning the tipping.

WAFL Team of Round 7

HALF-FORWARD FLANK – CODY LEGGETT (East Fremantle)
There was quite the furore over his desire to join East Fremantle from Perth in 2020, but he eventually got his wish and has played mostly down back and done well for the Sharks so far. But spent more time in the midfield on Saturday and got forward to good effect against Claremont to kick two goals to go with 24 touches, four inside 50s, three marks and two tackles.

INTERCHANGE – RYAN LESTER-SMITH (East Fremantle)
Got ever so close to celebrating his 100th WAFL game with East Fremantle with a win against Claremont on Saturday. It wasn’t quite to be but he did all he could with 16 possessions and seven marks, and he deserves strong recognition for reaching a milestone that looked a long way off when he played just 18 games the past three years after rupturing an ACL midway through 2017.

After becoming only the second team in WAFL history to lose three consecutive games by 6 points or less, the Sharks are determined to finally get over the line against Subiaco this Saturday at Leederville Oval.

It will be no easy feat against the reigning premiers, who are fighting for a chance to make finals in 2020.

Into the extended side this week comes Tim Bockman, Cameron Davidson, Jordan Mills, Alex Montauban and Brynn Teakle.

Teakle, who trained during pre-season at Essendon, will play his first League game for the season, rewarded for his consistent effort in the Reserves. The 203cm beanpole will provide a mobile target up forward as well as assisting captain, Jon Griffin in the ruck.

Looks like Kommer is done for the year, hammy.

Should be some cracking earller games between EF / Subi colts and reserves.....the league I think maybe where Subi ignite their finals charge....% wise sadly....Subi nearly back to full strength...whilst EF will miss Kommers grunt v Horsely and Kitchin.....Big ask today that is for sure...

Geez how wrong was i with that reserves game....Subi took EF reserves to the cleaners.....EF colts started well but Subi colts finished even better....the league game was a close encounter till 3/4 time, then Subi woke from their slumber and EF appeared to put on their witches hats sadly....can't see too many changes next week v SD, bar Griffen in for either Teakle or Montuban....another 3-0 whitewash v Subi....Same old same old.

Lucky last game of the season for EFFC....1/6 ain't what the fans wanted when this COVID footy season started...I guess 3 losses under 6 pts, could easily of been 3 wins....plus last week EF led till 3/4-time v Subi....hopefully a big effort will round out the season v SD on Sun....who themselves found their goal kicking mojo v Perth last week.

Be interesting if Griff retires after the SD game, loyal servant of the club....hopefully he gets the send off he deserves. Could be the last game at the club for a few mid tier guys as well....especially after that deplorable loss last week v Subi in the reserves....

Colts need a win to secure 4th spot, anything less will see the winner of the Perth v SF colts game secure 4th spot at the death....good luck to all three grades and the EF Womens league side v Peel in the prelim....the EF reserves girls secured a GF spot after their 2nd semi win on the weekend....the league girls some how found 3 goals at the death to win....

Wasn't too bad a result considering having no ruck and being a man down for most of the game .

Colts good chance to win this weekend with the added bonus of PsA kids back. They have quite a few and will strengthen their team.
