Retirements

The end of the season sadly means that a number of players will be hanging up the boots.

We farewell Matthew Jupp – a life member, Premiership captain and a stalwart of our club for nearly 200 League games; Blaine Boekhorst – 2022 Sandover Medallist; Josh Schoenfeld – 2023 Premiership player.

Well done to Declan Pauline for winning the Jack Clarke Medal in the WAFL colts. Great effort considering the young fella had played the last 1/3 of the season in the reserves.

Gee, losing Jupp will be huge. How many times has he saved us?

Great effort by EF reserves team to thrash Subi, and earn a GF spot this weekend v Cl. Great to see youngsters in Austin and Sanchez kick 9 between them up front....a fair few boys out there on Sunday, played colts this year too.

Best game so far for Sanchez , I believe.
Was highly rated.
Just hasn't got going this year for EF as some folk thought or would like. Has kicked 7 so far in the finals, and hopefully a few more this weekend. Definitely talented enough to play league, though with Hagan kicking 30 this year, Sanchez has got some competition for that small forward role at EF.

Gunna be a hard job knocking off Claremont Freeze, but hey, it’s there for the taking.

An extraordinary battle between a local council and a WAFL club has needed government intervention after councillors reportedly tried to ban a shark logo over fears it was confronting for families.

East Fremantle Football Club — nicknamed the Sharks — are yet to return to their newly redeveloped home despite more than $32 million in upgrades being completed at the council-owned ground earlier this year.
