Universal Love Eddie Betts extends contract until 2020

This is a risk vs reward decision. Generally speaking I don't have an issue with the 30 year old equates to ongoing 1 year contracts. It is a good rule of thumb, but you can't live and breathe by it. There are times when you need to say....wow we have one where we need greater flexibility. Betts had his best year at 29/30!!! When you are a footy club eying for a flag.....you need a certain amount of flexibility to ensure you have the best team to give you success. Well done Crows and well done Mr Ed.
