I don't think we can focus on this specifically in the other thread so creating another one seems logical.

What Eddie did was not only a one off, it's becoming a systemic juxtaposition of the AFL's vision and needs to be dealt with.

What punishment would you give him if you were the AFL?

For me it would go something like this:
1) Public and sincere apology in a press conference

2) Commitment to complete formal training of relevancy around the social issues of racism, bullying and social leadership

3) Stand down until the above two are completed.

Your thoughts or alternative ideas?

1, 2 & 4 - stay on at the Pies whilst they are performing this badly (would have said 4 is punishment enough but to be in the media he needs 1&2 as well)

For me it would go something like this:
1) Public and sincere apology in a press conference (hosted by Harry O)

2) Commitment to complete formal training of relevancy around the social issues of racism, bullying and social leadership (training by Harry O)

3) Stand down until the above two are completed (to be replaced by Harry O in the interim)

His apology this morning was deplorable. He could at least actually say sorry to Caroline instead of just apologising at the way it came out "out of context". It wasn't appropriate in context either. When he played the 3AW clip of them saying a similar thing was so embarrassing, it made him look even worse. "They did it as well, don't just pick on me" what a disgrace. They were completely different a) Caroline obviously felt uncomfortable about the comments and you could tell when she knew they took it to far and b) Caroline was actually there to defend herself and she was able to stop it.

Im usually quite a fan of Eddie but these comments were disgusting and he should be punished accordingly. What that is i don't know but he could at least start with an actual apology to Caro.
