Eddie is just a pathetic, bitter, little man.

He even re-hashed the urine throwing allegations. Collingwood couldn't prove them at the time, and haven't proved them since. So why bring it up again?

By far the AFL's most unprofessional club president.

He does a very good job as Collingwood president. But he has no credibility as a serious football journalist.

But that's what I mean. He uses his role as a journalist to push his political agenda as Collingwood president.

Perhaps that makes him more of an unprofessional journalist than president as you say... *shrugs* either way...

Typical sore loser response by Adelaide.

Who gives a toss about Adelaide anyway?
Seeing as the Collingwood president never misses an opportunity to stick the knife in, I'd say the answer to that question is Eddie does.

Istill can't believe Eddie cops crap. I can see how he might get up the nose of opposition supporters with his passion, but unprofessional?

Here's the list of presidents- (well, who I know of anyway)

Adel: ?
Bris: ?
Carl: Collins
Coll: McGUIRE
Ess: McMahon
Fre ?
Geel: Costa
Haw: Dicker
Melb: Szondy
North: Aylett
Rich: Casey
StK: Buterss
Syd: Collis
WCE: ?
WB: Smorgan

Who of this list would you pick above McGuire if you were building/ rebuilding a football club? The staff appointments, sponsorships and on- field results have spoken for themselves.

Yes sp-mac, being host of the Footy Show and Who Wants to be a Millionaire are the defining qualities of an excellent club president.

Now, who's in line to succeed McGuire? Ray Martyn or Don Burke?

Everyone knows who they are, so they fit your criteria for a good prez. ;)

If Bruce had've said it, they wouldn't bother asking for an apology.

Considering the audience difference between Bruce's and Ed's respective shows, the question to be asked is:

If Bruce had said it, would anyone have noticed?

Who gives a crap what he does on telly? For the first time ever a Vic team has over 40, 000 members. We went from Spicers paper as a major sponsor to having Emirates and Essondons TAC deal fighting for the sole exposure. Eddie is a lifelong Collingwood supporter he didn't just pick em, the job isn't for money, we went from shaw to Malthouse, There has not been a major scandal at the club since he arrived.........Shall I go on???

But, if you say so I guess he's just overrated and unproffesional.

I couldn't give a stuff what he does for Collingwood.

But the way he conducts himself in the media is nothing short of disgraceful.

What did Ed say? Why does he have to apologise?

He said nothing wrong, Eddie doesn't make mistakes.

Seriously, I do have respect for him and what he has done but he has made a mistake here and I think he will apologise.
