Dusties for me they have a few great ins this week (M. Peresso, D.Larosa, Z.Ohara and D. Scott-Smith) all coming back from injury. I think it will be less then a 10 point victory either way. Goon should beat Catani after seeing Catani last week, didnt run the game out very well and if it went 10 min longer Langy might of got them.

Also its a shame to see blokes miss out on finals action that have played every week and trained almost every night during the year and pre season. There has to be some loyalty to the blokes that have put in the hard yards over the year and reward them. If it brings a premiership then maybe fair enough but the club can't expect the blokes who get dropped to stick around. Whats other people's thoughts on this?

I agree a little bit piezy but you cant win a flag with lesser players. Probably most clubs have got 1 or 2 blokes that do everything right from december to september but couldn't get a game in an under 8's side. You've gotta play your best side available not necessarly your best players available. Sometimes this is the same thing but depending on the opposition, players available, venue etc, it's hard but you CAN squeeze 1 or 2 of your lesser players in to achieve your best SIDE. At the end of the day everyone out on the park wants to win a flag and you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yeah you've really gotta feel for the blokes that miss out but like Smiling Doctor said you have to play your best side come finals. I reckon the coaches really need to give these guys a full game during the year though when playing against the lower ranked sides even if it means winning by 10 goals instead of 20.

NNG have done pretty well in the twos over the years without having to drop back multiple senior players. Maybe everyone else has the wrong formula...they'll win it again by the look of it.

I'd say the quality of players has a fair bit to do with it. From our perspective we would have up 4-8 2nds players, playing seniors and you guys would have 4-8 1sts players, playing reserves. Probably looking at the bottom half of the senior ladder this would be the case. For example, there looks to be a fair number of older guys still running around in the seniors regulary but are only doing so to help out or do the right thing by the senior team. Player quality and numbers is what would be keeping these type of guys in the senior game occasionally but when finals come along it is these players that are dropping back.

i thought goon had already won it tumbles? haha only joking, my pick is Dusties but agree it will be 2 goals or less

JP Santo really showed the world what he is like with his send off(probably cost them the flag) and after the siren today(still mouthing off). Probably the biggest knob going around. Oh maybe topped by his brother but Mick can actually play. Thought with dusties seniors out that their 2nds would have the team to win but not to be. Good win by NNS, would be very hard to argue that they didn't deserve to win.

Catani twos looked pretty good on the weekend. I know Lang Lang twos have dropped off a fair bit this season but Catani are my early tip to go all the way this year. So many players with heaps of senior experience.

We have played Catani and stuck with them most of the game, one bad quarter cost us after leading at qtr time. We played Dusties on the weekend and although we had 3 go up from the week before they took us to pieces. Looked better then last season to me. Garfield have also improved a heap.

Should be a good game Goon v Bunyip today. In the last two weeks Goon have knocked off Catani and Dusties. Over the last 8 year's this has become a great rivalry.
