Without knowing who they are playing, il throw my common sense hat on and take an educated guess that NNG is the closest ground in the Ellinbank league to where the opposing league are traveling from....
That and the fact it's proberly the most spectator friendly ground in pretty good condition currently... Warrigul is great but has bad parking, Cora lyn is recovering, Garfeild also good but has no shelter. Goon seems the most obvious choice.
NNG is a logical choice but not sure about being spectator friendly, 2mm of rain and the car park turns to shit.
Garfield I think is the best surface in the league.[/]
Find me a country footy ground in Victoria apart from the major towns where a car park is not gravel/dirt based or mud in winter...
Spectator friendly based on the fact is is easy to get to (2 secs off freeway) and has sufficient shelter for watching the game...

Poowong has good parking, never gets muddy!
As I said NNG is a logical choice. I just think its a terrible football ground, ground turns to mud too quickly. Most finals I have seen there the ground is shit.

How does everyone think the Interleague is shaping up???
Are Ellinbank going to be a good side?? Any key players out or missing??
I don't think many of the CHFL people know what to expect up here as we haven't played interleague for over 15 years?
In terms of the CHFL's strength probably the three best players in the league in Andy McKay, Lee Cox and Michael Cummins are 'unavailable' however the CHFL are fairly confident they'll be putting out a pretty strong and even team.
Should have been at Lang Lang.

The league big wigs asked Lang Lang if someone got the goal post straight, the inter league game would have been at the show grounds ,but they didn't want to blow the ground's budget on something not that important.I heard Lang Lang was the EDFL's number 1 choice but then someone brought a pie and coffee and it cost them $15, and to top it off they rolled there ankle walking across the ground to get back to the car. Unlucky to say the least.
Nice guy, good club person and respect around the comp.Very fit and play's injury alot of the time (groins). Not a bad word about him from me.can some any one give me some info on james bradshaw from coralynn. what kind of player he is and what kind of bloke he is.

The last time I checked, Nar Nar Goon were still playing in the Ellinbank League. I don't see a problem with it at all. Good surface, well organised club, plenty of parking, close to the train line...come to think of it, probablt the perfect choice
Are V line running a few extra trains for the 1000s of people that will come to the game. Lucky the station is so close!
More interesting results yesterday with Darnum having another win. If tumbleweed said Nyora is terrible cos we only beat them by 6 goals how bad are Buln going???
Dusties were decent yesterday but not as impressive as I expected from all the talk. Some good big forward and they could get found it, key backs struggled.
You're right Leo, Buln must be woeful.
NNG will do a great job hosting the interleague game. I think the GF last year proved they know how to hold a big event and at the moment the ground is in good condition. This attitude that NNG aren't a part of the Ellinbank F.L is ridiculous and will only hold the competition back. The introduction of NNG, Cora Lynn, Lang Lang, Garfield etc over the past 10-15 years has only strengthened what before was a piss poor bush footy comp. Get over it ya muppets and move on!
On a different note, watched NNG on the weekend pretty closely and they are putting together quite a nice side. I know they didn't play a team of much note on the weekend but the way the moved the ball and their forward line functioned, they are going to be hard to stop come the pointy end of the season. Dore looks scarily good, in fact he looks a better player than he was a couple of years ago when he dominated the competition. With Williams, Hughes, Adams etc still to come back in and Zajak and Dore only just returning from 4 weeks of no footy, they're only going to get better.
The Dusties are a hard one to read due to their cruisy draw. I guess we'll find out a bit more about them when they hit some of the top sides, but if their backline is a worry then a side like NNG will exploit them with enough supply.
Cora Lynn are clearly travelling well and from what i've seen are the team to beat.
NNS and Garfield are down on last year and playing catch up for a top 2 position now so might find it difficult.
The rest are making up the numbers.
