20 million? What they hell are you building there??

We have enjoyed playing LL, and it would be dissapointing losing our games against LL and Catani but its better for the club in the long run.

LL is a big enough town to play against those clubs even though its a bit further out, surely getting a thirds side is your number 1 priority at the moment. Its almost the same league LL and KWR left 10 or so years ago beacuse they couldnt compete.

Will be 2 footy ovals, netball courts, tennis courts, lawn bowl rinks, 2 story clubhouse and NO RODEO.

Yeah the club tried very hard to get 18's this year but just couldn't quite get the numbers. Our U/15's aren't too bad so hopefully a few of them can start to come through.

Don't reckon we will have the same problem competing as we did 15 years ago. A lot of that had to do with Beaconsfield and Pakenham. There isn't really a reason why we shouldn't be able to compete with the other clubs in the west division.

Where is the Rodeo going??

How did the town manage to get that money from the council? Good effort. Oval in the same spot?

Fair point, and Warragul and Drouin were also there too at one stage and they were strong clubs.

I know the interleague training is beginning soon, and up against the Alberton league this year it will be good to see who has the better elite players. I think if the EDFL can get the majority of the better players to commit they will have quite a handy side!
Has anyone heard any reports if any of the "star" players have or haven't committed?

I heard Soumalis and MacCullum were keen, probably the 2 most high profile ins for the league.

Alberton will be tough to beat if we dont get a close to full strength team on the park. They have picked up some handy players, Brad Fisher, Jay Neagle, Michael Kraska, James Ross, Bergles, Urie.

If only the Senior blokes as keen about interleague as the under 18's haha. I doubt any of our blokes will go or get selected, the one's good enough will want the week to try and get rid of injurys.

Squad was in the record last week, Harley Lacunes was in it I think. There was at least 1 from every club.

I can imagine it would start off as a big list, I just hope the best talent of the league put their hand up to show just how good the players are in our region.

The reason Ellinbank and Alberton are ranked so low is because they don't care about interleague. Not sure how Ellinbank are going to be but teams in Alberton are not putting there best players in.Kraska,Fisher,Ross and Nagel haven't been named from what I have seen. And a lot of the leagues better players not named either. It would be great to see both leagues at full strength but its never going to happen.

is their anywhere you can see plans for this? and where will it be in langy?

No truth in that Plugger, We had the Footy when the siren went. The lead changed 4 or 5 times in the last qtr the umpires tried there best to ruin the game for both teams with free kicks out of no where but they were the same for both teams.

Not too sure bomber. There was a rough plan posted on the LLFC facebook page a while ago. Apparentley it is in a different location where a new property devopment is off McDonald's track. Not to far from the current venue.

Great game at Nyora yesterday against Bunyip. We kicked 17.1 for the day, has to be some kind of record. Kept us in the game.
Cal Pattie goals from about 45 out after the siren to win it with a fairly soft free kick.

Bunyip didnt look as good last year, some harder games coming up will test them out.

Mjrob you may be able to confirm, but I heard at the pub on the weekend that Cora Lynn will be without Kimber and Bunyip without Walker due to them both being suspended on the weekend?

Can confirm Walker got sent off and reported, think he took the week. Didnt look a lot in it but I wasnt close to it. Late in a marking contest, got the bloke high. Probably worth a 50 at most I thought.

Hey mate- Kimber is going to the tribunal tomorrow night... No idea about Bunyip and their player.

Umpiring in this comp = The rules change from quarter to quarter.

The way the AFL cant decide from week to week how they interpret rules makes it even harder for local umpires. I assume our umpires get the same videos and explanations of rules that the AFL gets.

Umpire standard has always been poor in this league, not much we can do about it though unless more ex players take up umpiring.
